5.0Tahoe Photographic Tours(635 reviews) - Rainbows from start to finish..literally Friday: 8:00 AM - 9:00 PM Sightseeing Tours • Private Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Photography Tours
Our guide, Jim, went above and beyond given the weather was not cooperating to move us around the rain. So many amazing locations I would not have found on my own. He also shared a lot of great tips and techniques at each stop. Mother nature did however bless us with views of a rainbow from our very first stop right up to our return. Amazing tour and guide. Only wish I would have taken the full day trip. Thank you Jim!See more..
5.0Redwood Rides(603 reviews) - Such a Cool Experience Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Bike Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
SO COOL!!!!!! This was one of the coolest experiences ever. We have always wanted to see the Redwoods and how cool of an experience to have a guided 10 mile (flat for the most part) bike tour through the forest, eat a provided organic lunch on the river bottom and then kayak 4 miles down the Smith river with a quick hiking stop at Stern Grove. Andy was our guide and she knew everything we ever wanted to know about the land, which was a huge bonus to the trip. Trip was worth every penny and recommend to anyone wanting to really see what this beautiful area is all about in a day.See more..
5.0Discover Yosemite(434 reviews) - Discover yosemite - great place to start a vacation! Historical & Heritage Tours • Sightseeing Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Dave "the dude" aka "shadow" was very knowledgeable and friendly. He made our experience extra special and was able to put us on all the hot spots so we could see the best spots and get the best photos. He was willing to answer questions and make the experience extra personal to fit our needs. The packed lunch was great and he came prepared with tons of drinks and snacks ! More than enough to hold us through the day. He was very adaptable to what we wanted to do and had great covid protocols. He also had 3 pairs of GREAT binoculars so we could see up close, the bus had AC and was super comfortable! Highly recommend this tour and this specific guide for any yosemite tour needs!!!See more..
Fantastic from start to finish. The naturalist guide really knew their stuff and kept up a great commentary at the right times to let us know about bits and pieces and to answer questions. We saw a lot of Otters! I think the tally was 93! Plus Sea Lions, Harbour Seals, Grey and White Pelicans, Blue Herons and Egrets. It was a very pleasant way to spend a couple of hours watching the wildlife at close (ish) distances. Especially if your into photography, the boat is very stable, with plenty of opportunity to take photo's. With reduced seating capacity due to covid times, social distancing was very well maintained throughout the boarding and seating arrangements and we were all masked all of the time, and it was absolutely fine! If I'd had another day in the Monterey area I would have done the trip again .See more..
Our day started out with Jenée from Crossroads picking us up from our hotel in Oakhurst. As we were traveling to the park, Jenée outline the places that we were going visit within the park. The weather that day was not very favorable, so there were a couple of areas we were not able to visit because of the roads being closed. The areas that she did take us to see were amazing! She was very knowledgeable of the history of the park and very personable. She also was a great driver on those wet winding roads! We enjoyed our day visit in Yosemite and Jenée was great!See more..
We took our group of 16 on a 1 hour trail ride. We had 6 adults and 10 kids ages 6-16. Some with a little experience and some with none. I was super impressed with their managing of our large group. From matching us up to appropriate horses, to teaching the kids the basics, to engaging with the kids and intentionally learning our names. The entire staff, every guide, was friendly, personable, intent on providing a fun but safe experience. I love that we had four guides go out with us, spaced apart. I loved that we did some training. I loved that we went through creeks and up and down the mountains. Every kid loved the experience, it was a trip highlight. This was definitely my favorite staff of all the trail rides I’ve done.See more..
I did the Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour last week with my kids (13 & 16). We had an exceptional day with loads of wildlife activity. Jake was a very informative tour guide. I enjoyed it so much that I book a We Paddle You Photo tour for a few days later. (It was hard to take any pictures on the wildlife tour.) My "We Paddle" private tour was fantastic! Again, I was fortunate to have an active wildlife day, and my guide Jessica was very knowledgeable and pointed out various sightings to me. I learned so much on both paddles and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Elkhorn Slough in the morning fog. Kayak Connection is really busy on Saturday mornings, so if you can do a weekday morning, I recommend that.See more..
5.0Yosemite Adventure Company(146 reviews) - A must if you are in Yosemite Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM 4WD, ATV & Off-Road Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours
We booked this trip for a family of 4, we weren’t feeling adventurous to hire our own vehicle so we opted for a guided tour. This was hands down the best decision we made, introducing the well respected and highly knowledgeable Cody. After a few minutes into the trip it was evident that we were in safe hands and travelling with an extremely polite and professional tour guide. We saw and experienced sights that will stay with us for a lifetime, a trip up to Moon rock, seeing the giant Sequoias and then our final hike up to the top of Fresno Dome. If you get the opportunity then you must do this hike, this was the final destination and so worth it, the 360 degree views were amazing! Thanks to Cody and the rest of the team, all extremely professional, friendly and an experience we would definitely do again.See more..
We recently completed our second backcountry backpack trip with Yosemite Guide Service. Last year it was just the two of us but this year it was us two and four friends. Every step, every view, every climb, every descent, and every swim in a frigid alpine lake was totally worth it. John is a professional guide in every way, enhancing our hikes with knowledge of the majestic Sierra plants, flowers, ecology, geology, and more. We did a four-night, five-day adventure starting near Mammoth Lakes, then out to Thousand Island Lake, Garnet Lake, and Shadow Lake. John's customized service, hospitality, sense of humor, and great personality made the trip all that much more enjoyable. We will likely book a third trip with him next season ( if he'll have us, of course!) Anyway, don't hesitate to book any kind of adventure with him.See more..
5.0Paddle Method(135 reviews) - A dream come true- Paddle Method made it happen Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Water Sports • Gear Rentals • Nature & Wildlife Tours
For the longest time, I have always wanted to learn how to Paddle Board. Paddle Method team both Tim and Natalia made it happen, their instructions are so detailed and jumping in with their coaching and guidance gave me the confidence. I will continue their courses and highly recommend them as it is convenient schedule and offer weekend classes all year long!See more..
5.0Sky Falconry(105 reviews) - Few words describe the feeling Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Lessons & Workshops • Nature & Wildlife Tours
This is my third trip (two Hawk Walks and one lesson) to fly raptors with Sky Falconry. And I have another trip planned. Every time have been more than enjoyable than the last. Denise and Kirk are kind gracious hosts with minds full of knowledge not just about their birds, but raptor and bird conservation as a whole. Make no mistake- these are not their pets and the experiences to not allow for touching the birds in that manner. These animals are wild beings true to form. Any experience at Sky Falconry is more than a zoo attraction or a raptor rehabilitation center’s bird experiences. Having the bird in your gloved hand is the experience you’ll not soon forget.See more..
June 12 2021 We booked a private tour for two with Pat (and his assistant Ethan) which was a fantastic decision and worth every cent!!!! Pat was informative, witty, personable, and personal and we knew right away it was going to be a monumental tour because of the advanced knowledge Pat offers!!! Following in our own vehicle while still being able to communicate over walkie talkies gave us the ability to ask questions while still having ‘our time’. Since the park is reservation system only right now, it wasn’t crazy busy and it was easy to get in and out of all the siteseeing stops. With having a guide who knew exactly where to go and just as important ‘when’ to go to get the best pictures was amazing!!!! We ended up with so many incredible professional photos right on our phones at the end of the day! Thank you sooooo much Pat and Ethan for making our trip spectacular Anton and JeanSee more..
For Father’s Day, I treated my father to a fly fishing trip with Echo. Bryant, our guide, took us into Yosemite valley where we spent the day in the river with amazing views all around. Bryant was super fun and patient with me while teaching me to fly fish. My dad picked it up much more quickly than I did and caught several trout! Watching the setting sun light up El Cap while standing in the Merced River was truly awesome. Bryant was personable, professional and a great teacher. Highly recommended!!See more..
This was my Mother’s Day gift to myself & my mom. I’ve kayaked this slough, about 10 years ago & decided that I didn’t want to have hook my mom up to my kayak to get her back out when the wind picked up. It was so great to go so far down into the slough. Bring your binoculars ask Wyatt the naturalist every question you can think off (my 8 year old did) and have a great time. You will see the wildlife you are hoping to see at a distance that isn’t distressing to them. Will book again, definitely.See more..

4.5Monterey Bay Kayaks(65 reviews) - Fabulous nature experience Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
The four of us had the good fortune to have Amber as our guide. We had selected the 9 o’clock tour and the weather gods were with us! Such a beautiful experience particularly as you get away from the man made noises and settle into the sounds of nature...oodles of otters, harbor seals, birds. Amber Was great at describing tips for kayaking and full of facts on the animals and birds in nature we experienced. Was beautifully calm and an easy paddle in double kayaks. Group size was a very manageable 6. Highly recommended!See more..
5.0Cal Coast Adventures Solana Beach(51 reviews) - Great service and quality e-bike Friday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM City Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Bike Tours • Gear Rentals • Hiking & Camping Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Self-Guided Tours & Rentals
Rented a e-bike for a week from Elias that was exactly what we were looking for. Elias was super flexible with delivery and pickup and made an extra trip to our house when we needed some adjustments. Great service, great price, and very knowledgable about the bikes he's renting. TaIked to a few other rental companies in the area, and Cal Coast seemed way better than the others just from talking to them on the phone. Would recommend to anyone to in the error looking for a good rental experience.See more..
5.0Kahuna Whale Watching(11 reviews) - great whalewatching tour Boat Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Early in the morning we went on this beautiful whale watching tour. The sea is more calm in the morning so the chance is smalller to get seasick. We saw a few giant whales not to far from the boat, jumping out the water which was fantastic! Even a few dolphins followed us on the end of the tour. We really recomand this whale watching tour as it is not to crowded and the staff is great.See more..
5.0Secret Harbor Charter - Monterey Bay(10 reviews) - The tour to take! Friday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Boat Tours • Eco Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching • Nature & Wildlife Tours
Excellent, excellent tour. We were met by owner Karen, a gracious and interesting lady. The owner provided snacks (muffins, quiche, candy, nuts, fresh fruit, water, sparkling wine) adorned with beautiful setting and flowers. The yacht was beautiful and beyond expectations. We felt so special! Erica and Captain Mike were gracious, knowledgeable, and accommodating. We were on a smaller boat, so we were able to get closer to the whale….and the sighting was spectacular. The whale dove and came above the water surface every 30-60mseconds.. So very special! We were the only boat for almost an hour, then a large boat joined us and the whale left. I highly recommend this tour. Don’t do the large boats. The attention you get from the crew and the ability and skill of the crew to navigate close to the whales was worth the extra cost.See more..
Our stay at the ranch was a much needed reprieve from the chaos of our day to day life. We enjoyed the solitude, proximity to Irongate Lake, a hidden nearby waterfall, and the extremely comfy King-sized bed! However our favorite part of our stay, was the wild horses that roamed free on the property, and hearing them on the close by trail at night. Clair and Taryn were very hospitable, making sure we had what we needed, but gave us lots of privacy. We are definitely planning on coming back soon!See more..

The entire trip was 12 days, I hiked (and ate) my way through France,Italy and Switzerland. It was an amazing trip, with incredible views, the food was local, farm to table, also incredible. The guides were knowledgeable in all aspects of each area we traveled. They were entertaining and made a great trip even better. The hotels in which we stay were all between great to good, no complaints of any of the hotels, staff, food and accommodations were all great. This is my forth trip with MTS and I have not been disappointed, all my trips have been well planned and carried out flawlessly.See more..

Love this place. It’s more than just a farm stand where you can get fresh, local organic produce but the farm itself is beautiful. It has a huge walk in chicken coupe along with a insectary that kids are sure to love. Great place to stop with the family. See more..
yosemite, is overrated.. it"s very expencey . at times you have to wait at the gate for hours before they let you in.. no where to park. the campgrounds overfilled. we did not stay in the campgrounds this last visit. all we could do is drive though . we have found other place much prettier.See more..
