For Tuesday $6 movie nights we enjoy taking in a time for dinner and a movie here. Beers on Tuesday are $5 too. We enjoy ordering from the grill and have not been disappointed. This latest experience for a 4:15 show we ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and the coconut shrimp - yumm! Food arrived fresh and hot and the shrimp with Thai chili sauce was really good - nice large shrimp. Fries were fresh and hot as well. My only complaint about this theater is that it isn't located closer to my house! But when I'm in this area, I love going here. They run first-run movies, you can pick your seats, the seats recline, you can have wine with your movie, and theres lots of choices of other things to eat. First and foremost, let me tell you this theater is like traveling first class compared to other theaters. it is really nice to watch a very long movie here and order food and even drinks. The seats are plush and extremely comfortable. I do not know why everyone complains that it is too cold, I found it to be just right and maybe even a little bit warm. I did not need a pillow and or a blanket even though I brought one of each! I watched the hobbit here and it was perfect for such a lengthy movie. It's been awhile we haven't gone to the theater ever since we had the comfort of watching movies at home but was amazed when we did just a few days ago. My first visit to the Regency was more than I expected because of the fact the movies are cheap and not first run. The snacks are let's say the "price is more than right". The seat are spacious and if you want to snugggle just raise the arm rest. It was clean inside and out. Edwards theaters in Ontario by the Mills mall is a pretty standard movie theater. There are some exceptions...1) the IMAX screen. There is often a nice selection of movies shown on the larger IMAX screen, but be aware, if the film is shot on IMAX film, it will cost more. 2) the RPX theater...this is assigned seating (which can be good or bad depending on the situation) with leather seats that recline a bit. Very comfortable, but will also cost extra. Matinees are reasonably priced. I prefer this theater to the AMC because it is not attached to the mall (although on the mall grounds), so parking is much easier!See more..

Although I lived in Idyllwild years ago, I never went to the Theater. On this recent trip back, I was able to go to the Theater and see what it had to offer. From the outside, it doesn't look that impressive, but I believe it actually holds close to 250 people. The lobby is cozy and has that small town feel. The staff is very friendly and helpful. Ticket prices are low compared to theaters I know and it feels like more of a fun experience that at other places. Wow. I am insanely jealous of anyone who gets to have this as their home theater. Beautifully appointed and perfect picture and sound makes this the ultimate AMC movie going experience. It really looks quite different inside and the costumes and props scattered throughout help you realize that you are seeing a film in the moviemaking capital of the world. Prices are very high but that is to be expected. They also had a pretty understaffed concession area and the signage inside to find restrooms was severely lacking. Love going to the drive-in!!! Always make a fun night of it. Make dinner and snacks and go to the drive in for the night. Bring a couple adult beverages and a few friends and its a party. Cheap and fun way to spend a summer night with friends or with you loved. The facilities are run down and the snack bar is terrible but who cares when you are sitting in your car and eating some good food you brought and drinks that don't cost $100 a person.
