    - Nice ballfield

    John Thurman Field image
A nicely maintained, older minor league stadium. Ticket and concession prices are reasonable. There isn't much legroom in the "Hall of Fame" seating, so taller fans may want to choose elsewhere. (Much better ADA seating than Excite! Ballpark though.) See more..
  7. 3.0 Sofi Stadium (61 reviews)
    - It's pretty
    Sports Complexes
    Sofi Stadium image
I came to see The Weeknd (when he canceled the show in the middle of the concert) and it was my first time being at SoFi. Parking price can vary depending on the event and where the parking lot is located. Since it was my first time at the stadium I wanted to explore the stadium and buy merchandise because lines get long at any concert. I arrived right when gates opened at 5pm and once you enter the stadium you have to go several levels down to reach the floor seating. On the main concourse there are plenty of options for food, drinks and there are also vendors selling alcohol in random places so you can avoid waiting in line. My seats were on the floor so I went through the escalators. Once you reach the bottom there is a cup exchange where you are given a plastic cup and there is also air conditioning in the lounge area. In the lounge are there are two bars, one bathroom for men and one for women, food options are hamburgers and pizza. I ended up going back up to the main concourse for food. I suggest getting the pretzel because it's soft and it'll do to keep your stomach filled while you are at your event. Depending on where you are seated it can be terrible leaving the stadium and the stadium parking lot. They are strict on the clear bag policy here or you are able to put your bags aside for a minimal fee and pick up your bag after the event. See more..
  8. 4.0 Big League Dreams (57 reviews)
    - Great place for kids to play ball
Friday: 8:00 AM - 10:30 PM Sports Complexes
    Big League Dreams image
Nice ballpark with stadiums modeled after big league stadiums. There is ample parking, the facilities are clean (well, until the end of a long day of baseball). You don’t need to bring chairs as there is stadium seating. Shade is very limited. Though there are two indoor seating areas which are air conditioned. Make sure to get a table by the window and you can view the game from indoors. The snack bar is pricey. There is a sign at the entrance that states no outside food or drink is allow, but I brought in water bottles and snacks with no problems. See more..

Attended 1/2/20 with family not knowing what to really expect based upon reviews elsewhere. What a GREAT Experience. The glowing lanterns were amazing, made for great photos, and the setting was pretty cool being in the botanical garden area. Parking was easy, and YES, Fairplex charges for parking just to enter. Would do it again and bring others that would also enjoy viewing the artistic display . Didn't try any of the food offerings, so can't comment on them. Drove from the Desert to see this display. Worth it... See more..

Sky Zone Trampoline Park San Diego image
I took the kids to jump at Sky Zone San Diego. They were having so much fun I bought a ticket for myself and joined in. From the foam pit to the dodgeball the kids had a BLAST! We initially signed up for 30 minutes, but wound up purchasing an extra hour! I noticed they had party rooms as well and this seems like it would be the PERFECT place for my son's next birthday. The prices were very reasonable compared to some of the other party places in town. I think we are going to make this a weekly ritual. It was great family time. I was happy to get the kids away from the video games for a day. They had a great time while burning off all the extra calories from their buckets of Halloween candy. See more..

    Lancaster National Soccer Center image
The facilities at the Center are great. The parking is excellent. The fields are amazing, especially the FIFA fields. Two things absolutely kill this place: 1) the drive and 2) the weather. We are from San Diego. It is horribly inconvenient to get a team up there. Well, this year (2014), in contrast to previous years, the weather was amazing. Yes, the tournament was rained out one weekend. The other three weekends were just beautiful, with no wind. Now, if somebody could just do something about the drive... See more..
  21. 4.5 Carmichael Park (10 reviews)
    - very enjoyable

    Carmichael Park image
Thank you Carmichael park for placing pickle ball courts in the tennis area with lights there are not many places to play when the time change takes place. These are a very nice surface to play on , the one problem is the net is high in the middle and no place to secure it, other than that it is great. my hope is that you could turn these into permanent dedicated courts instead of 4 people being able to enjoy these courts 24 people could enjoy these courts. There would be room for six permanent courts and the lights are already in place . This is one of the fasted growing sports in the country and you would make a large community very happy. thank you for what you have done and if i can be of any help please reach out to me Steve Scott ps: a great place to start a youth group and teach them how to play this great game of pickleball See more..

Hollywood Sports Paintball & Airsoft image
I had a great time paintballing at Hollywood Sports Paintball Park with David Reaper Justin. It is located in Belflower, California. They have a lot of fields too. The only reason I’m not giving this place 5 stars is because there were 2 Hispanic middle aged paintballers there that got in my face both on the field and then when I was back at my gear bag getting ready for the next game. They were upset that I shot there sons instead of asking them if they surrender. I would have gladly offered an opportunity for them to surrender had they not been trying to shoot me at the time. You can’t ask someone if they surrender if they are shooting at you still. Otherwise you might as well find a new sport. It’s like Kobe Bryant about to score a buzzer beater to win the game, but instead he asks the defense if the surrender. See more..

  29. 4.0 Fremont Park (6 reviews)
    - fun kid time
Spent 1-2 hours Sports Complexes • Parks • Playgrounds
My daughter loves this park. It is a great one from what I can tell as well. It is very family friendly. It seems like its a lot more than just a local family park. There are multiple jungle gyms here. The biggest of these has a cimbing structure with a 2-3 story slide! The munchkin absolutely goes crazy to get a chance to race down the two high covered slides. They have a whole bank of swings as well. The swings are for both kids and babies. Pro Tip: There are lots of picnic tables for a family outing or a simple game of chess. Be careful as there are wild rodents running around begging for grub. These rodents have giant fluffy tails and most know them as chipmunks. There are also a number of open grass areas. Thus the kids can play soccar football, catch or wutever. So if your in the area, kick the rugrats out and make them go play... See more..

A little known gem here in Marina del Rey is the UCLA Marina Aquatic Center. They offer classes on sailing, kayaking, windsurfing, surfing and rowing -- instruction and all the equipment, even wetsuits if you need them. Plus, they have a really good summer program for kids and teens. This weekend, at the Open House I sampled sailing -- on both a Capri (very small sail boat) and a Hobie Catamaran -- and kayaking. The instructor was very friendly about giving information about the classes, the boats and best times to rent afterwards to practice. See more..

    - Excellent Softball and Soccer Complex
    Sports Complexes
We had a girls softball tournament at this complex and were very impressed with the facilities. There are a number of turf softball fields and tennis courts but our interest was in the three lighted softball fields. Fields have no numbers and are known as Red, Green and Yellow. It took some time to figure this out but these are the colors of the canopies over the seating. There are a number of trees to sit under for shade but the 3 fields also have nicely covered bleachers. Fields are large and very well maintained. Dirt infields and expansive grass outfields. Overall a very nice park for play. As a bonus there is a great playground outside the fences for the younger siblings to play when they get bored. Plenty of parking as well. If you are interested in the softball fields park in the Franklin High Road lot and not the Whitelock Parkway lot for a shorter walk to the fields. See more..

There was an ice monitor present to make sure we were safe at all times. The music and lighting was fun and entertaining while we skated around. The check in process was smooth and the person at the skate counter helped us figure out what size skates we should rent. We even got to watch some young skaters on the other ice rink practicing.
