This tour is a must do if you're visiting LA! My partner and I just got back from 5 days in Los Angeles, and the tour was a definite highlight for us. We opted for a half day tour and it was honestly fantastic, the day went so quickly and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we wished we had done a full day instead. You really get to see so many great places that you might not make it to otherwise, depending on where you're staying. The best part about the whole experience though was our guide Joss! He made us feel so welcome and comfortable that we were able to just relax and enjoy the day. He also gave us some great suggestions of where to go and places to eat for the remainder of our trip which was great because we love our food. We've done many different types of day-tours before and Joss is hands-down the best guide we've had the pleasure of meeting. We would 100% recommend this tour to anyone visiting LA and happily go on another tour with Joss!See more..
5.0Tahoe Outdoor Adventures(199 reviews) - Lovely Morning’s Hike with Michelle - Away from the Maddening Crowds Friday: 6:00 AM - 9:00 PM Ski & Snow Tours • Walking Tours • Climbing Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Photography Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Day Trips
We did an early morning hike with Michelle from Tahoe Outdoor Adventures. Booking was super easy and the company paid close attention to our needs for a hike that did not overly stress a bum hip joint. MIchelle made sure we were properly kitted out with water, hand sanitizing wipes. She took us to her favorite out of the way spot near Emerald Bay and water falls. It was away from crowds of tourists. And, she took LOADS of family pictures for us! This was especially wonderful as it is rare to get all four of us together in one snap! We enjoyed learning the history of the area and more about the wildlife. We would highly recommend Tahoe Outdoor Adventures for your hike or paddle boarding adventures in Tahoe.See more..
5.0Sail Tahoe Blue Sailing Charters(139 reviews) - Best Experience of our Tahoe Vacation! Boat Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
**The best day of our trip to Tahoe!!!** Capt Sean was an awesome host on his sailboat! We had perfect weather - slight wind which was great for sailing, and sunny, clear skies! Found Sail Tahoe Blue on Yelp when looking for sailing or boating options on the lake. Sooooo glad we booked! Deck hand Jack made sure everyone's (complimentary) drinks were full and that we were always doing ok, and comfortable on the boat. Both Sean & Jack made sure everyone had a great time - took the time to talk to us all, hear our stories, tell us theirs. Super friendly, super comfortable - amazing excursion for the day! We did an afternoon cruise (2pm-4pm) had 11 people on the boat, which was easy for us all to have our own space. Definitely would do this again!See more..
5.0Yosemite 360 Tours(69 reviews) - Expert Yosemite Valley Tour, would do it again! Day Trips
Tyler was so friendly and knowledgeable, patient and generous. He anticipated needs and met every expectation and more. We are dealing with the Washburn fire so the ride was much longer to get to the West Gate and the wait as well but he was patient and made sure we saw everything in the valley. He let us know ahead of time that conditions (smoke and visibility) might not be ideal but who would miss out on Yosemite?! We are so happy we did not let the fire and smoke deter us from a great day! Thanks Tyler!See more..
5.0Tahoe Jet Boats(65 reviews) - Great North Tahoe boating experience! Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM Waterskiing & Jetskiing • Water Sports • Boat Rentals • Speed Boats Tours • Day Trips
Dave was awesome! Not the cheapest option, but a quality one. He was great with teaching our young adults to wakeboard and ski. Our family group of 7 ranged in ages from 21 - 78 and every one of us had fun. He took some wonderful photos and his little side kick Leo is the most adorable boat dog ever. My son called him the Customer Service Department. North Tahoe was definitely a great place to boat because we had lots of space and almost no other boats to work around. Beautiful drive there from South Lake Tahoe. Don't ignore the water shoes advice because the beaches to get down to the water are rocks and pebbles, not sand. It's the trade off for not having super crowded beaches and water space. Once you're on the boat, the beach is irrelevant. As an idea, if you have more than the 6 that's allowed on the boat, we rented a jet ski from another local boat company and rotated our extra people onto the jet ski every 30 minutes. It worked out great!See more..
Half a day with Guide Rob Buhler was fantastic: Rob has an encyclopedic knowledge of the types of rivers, the insects, the fly fishing techniques and how to read the water. This was extremely interesting and beneficial. Unfortunately that morning the water was very cold, so we caught only one trout. But the next day, temps went up, we went back to exactly the same spots, used the same flies and rig, and we caught 8 rainbow trout! Then we stopped by the Shop and Guy Jeans runs a very well stocked business with plenty of gear at all prices. The staff is very friendly, extremely knowledgeable, and will tell you all you need to make your Fly Fishing trip a success. The Kern River Fly Shop & their Fly Fishing Guide Service is a glimpse of heaven, and you don't even have to wait. Go now! I'll see you there... (after hours, Heaven has a Fly Fishing vending machine right outside the gate).See more..
5.0Sequoia Guides(24 reviews) - A MUST! Walking Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Private Tours • Day Trips
We booked two days with Krista, one in Sequoia NP and one in King's Canyon NP...absolutely fabulous! She is fun, personable, understands customer service, communicated before and after our hikes to make sure we would be/were pleased, and most of all, she aimed to please! We had 2 teen boys, a pregnant mom, and a 78 year old grandaddy with us, and she met ALL of their needs. She would pull things out of her backpack to show us history, to make connections, to teach, and to inspire. Look no further for a private guide into these parks-she is incredible and we felt like we had made friends when we were done. I have been hiring hiking guides for years...in National parks, hands down, she was the best!See more..
5.0Oceanic Expeditions(19 reviews) - Exceptional day with whales Friday: 8:00 AM - 7:00 PM Multi-day Tours • Taxis & Shuttles • Boat Tours • Boat Rentals • Private Tours • Day Trips
What an exceptional experience! I did the full day 7 hour tour and it delivered: we saw many humpback whales, over a hundred Risso’s dolphins (including Casper, the albino one!) and so many sea lions. As someone who works in marine conservation, good boat practices are really important to me to not disturb the animals. Mary and Mike follow very high standards. With the full tour, it was great how we could stay at a location for awhile - the whales became comfortable w us and at times came right up to the boat without us approaching them! Mary and Mike were able to identify many of the individual whales and tell us their names and unique behaviors. The boat is small but roomy and there is a bathroom, fresh water, and sunscreen onboard. 10/10 best Monterey whale watching experience I’ve had.See more..
5.0Epic Aer L.L.C.(15 reviews) - Fantastic Tour Private Tours • Photography Tours • Air Tours • Day Trips
What a great time! We’re locals and really enjoyed the experience. Fog is always a factor in some part of the Bay Area in almost any season. We made a last minute adjustment to the tour; super pleased. The pilot was knowledgeable and friendly. We felt very safe (covid and otherwise) the whole time. I highly recommend this group. It really is a special experience to feel like you have the Bay all to yourself during the flight.See more..

5.0Pro Rafting Tours(6 reviews) - Pro Rafting Tours are THE BEST Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • River Rafting & Tubing • Adrenaline & Extreme Tours • Boat Tours • Gear Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing • Day Trips
Our Team Survivor dragonbat team, relegated to kayak training during covid for a year, took our skills to the Kern River last week with Donny and his guides at Pro Rafting. It was one of the most memorable experiences ever. From the initial point of contact, Donny was responsive and provided us detailed information that not only covered the kayak adventure, but offered awesome suggestions on what to do off the water. His calm presence, respect of the rive, wealth of experience and detailed instruction put us at ease since we were not familiar with what the river was going to serve us. We ran that section 4 times! and each time there was something new to see and learn. I highly recommend Pro Rafting Tours with Donny Hazard and his team.See more..
Our stay at the ranch was a much needed reprieve from the chaos of our day to day life. We enjoyed the solitude, proximity to Irongate Lake, a hidden nearby waterfall, and the extremely comfy King-sized bed! However our favorite part of our stay, was the wild horses that roamed free on the property, and hearing them on the close by trail at night. Clair and Taryn were very hospitable, making sure we had what we needed, but gave us lots of privacy. We are definitely planning on coming back soon!See more..

5.0SUGARCLAYS Pottery Studio(3 reviews) - So much fun! Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Paint & Pottery Studios • Private Tours • Day Trips
Jennifer made it so much fun with our four grandkids. Ages 6, 10, 10, and 12. They got to form a bowl out of a chunk of clay and then paint them. She is so kind and helpful. Don’t worry if you are from out of town as she will mail your finished pieces to you once they are fired. The location is east of Twain Hart off of Hwy 108. The red building and she is on the side with the big garage doors. Easy to find. Don’t miss this treasure. Enjoy!!!See more..
4.5April Bielefeldt(2 reviews) - April in Alaska Multi-day Tours • Historical & Heritage Tours • Private Tours • Photography Tours • Day Trips
Our trip to Alaska with April far exceeded my expectations. April's research, planning and organization made for a most delightful experience. In addition to the known places and tours, the trip included many hidden gems which one would have to see to realize how fascinating they were. A Russian Orthodox cemetery with little houses built over the graves was only one example. April scheduled many activities but also scheduled enough rest time so we weren't too tired to enjoy them. She was a master at anticipating our various needs and accommodating them effortlessly. When weather or other circumstances necessitated a change in the schedule, she had pleasant alternatives arranged instantly. Her positive attitude and sense of humor enabled our group to laugh a lot and collect wonderful memories that will last a lifetime. I am already anticipating my next trip with her. (And did I mention that she is an excellent driver?)See more..
I have always been interested in glass as an art medium. You get a choice of several objects to make. I chose a round paper weight and there are several bright colors to add. Brian showed me how to get a blob of molten glass on the end of a rod from the huge vat of molten glass. Then I added the colors and reheated. Then Brian helped me twist and pull the glass to make swirls with the colors. Finally, I reshaped it in a wooden mold with some water to make it a nice round ball. The tricky part was getting it off the stick and making a nice flat spot on the bottom. Really happy with the result. Covid 19 safety measures were taken. Only 2 people per class, must wear a mask, use hand-sanitizer and single use gloves and safety glasses. Class time was short, only 20 minutes - it felt a little rushed, and the glass object has to 'proof' in a holding furnace for 24 hours. I would go back and do this again and want to try to make a bowl or glass.See more..

Jerry, our guide, went out of his way to make our experience insightful and enjoyable. We spent as much time as we wanted at the Mission, the iconic Santa Barbara Court House, the Presidio and the Botanic Gardens. Lunch was an unexpected treat. Stearns Wharf, the pier and views of the “Riviera” from SB City College put the cherry on the top of this grand touring day. Thank you Jerry!See more..
