  1. 4.5 Balboa Island Ferry (1.937 reviews)
    - Fun Stroll thru Balboa Island

Wife and I have been to area around Ferry many times, but this was first time we took Ferry to Balboa Island. For only a dollar each, we rode on Ferry as pedestrians. It's about 50 cents extra to take bike with you and about $2 a person to take a car. You need cash because they do not take credit cards. It was a sunny warm day and the trip takes about 5 minutes. Just a fun time with great view of harbor. See more..

San Francisco Bay Ferry Vallejo Service image
The boat ride was great! On time both ways Vallejo-SF, and very efficient loading and debarking. Advice:. Get there early to line up 20-30 minutes ahead of time especially if it's a game day or special event in The City. Also, parking in an open lot seems to be safer than the parking structure. Enjoy!! We hope to do it again:) See more..

We were in SF for a few days and wanted to see the USS Hornet. We decided to take the ferry. It worked out great. We purchased our tickets off the HOPTHRU app and caught the ferry at Gate 9 off Embarcardeo. Once we got to Alameda, we took Lyft to the ship. The ferry was clean and there were plenty of seats. I highly suggest using the ferry to cross the bay to other locations. See more..
