We just wanted a nice place to have drinks and snacks. We parked in the free 2 hour parking and had a beer and fish tacos at the Lighthouse Oyster Bar & Grill. Then we drove 2 blocks to one of only 6 metered parking spots on the beach to walk the shore a bit. Back 2 blocks to the free parking again for happy hour at Rockin’ Baja Lobster where we got margaritas and free chips and salsa bar. Simply a great restful afternoon! See more..
  5. 4.5 June Lake Marina (62 reviews)
    - Great Marina
    Marinas
    June Lake Marina image
Made reservations for a boat at the Marina and when we arrived everything was in order. We were directed to go down to the docks and show our slip with the boat number to an attendant, but when we got down to the boat there was no one around. We saw three people on a boat chatting away, but we thought they were fishermen getting ready to head out. We waited a while, no one came, finally we went back up towards the office and saw someone we saw in the office and inquired about our boat. He hollered out to someone in the group that were talking and the person came over to tell us it was okay to take the boat out. The boat we rented was great. The staff at the Marina was very helpful. The Marina was close to the motel we rented, so it made everything so convenient. See more..
  6. 4.5 Oceanside Municipal Marina (49 reviews)
    - No sounds and sounds
    Spent 1-2 hours Marinas
    Oceanside Municipal Marina image
This is a very nice harbor not to big not to small. It’s very peaceful when you’re walking along the sidewalk. You can start at the lighthouse and go all the way around to the Jolly Rogers. Why I called the title no sounds and sounds. Harbor representing tranquility of not so much noise, on the other side of Marina Del Mar is the Splish flash waves of the ocean which is noticeably louder. I Absolutely enjoy both sides hands-down. You will see a lot of charter type boats and other recreational ocean activities to rent. There’s a number of very good restaurants along the sidewalk as well. You can charter a boat full day half-day nighttime whatever your pleasure is. Oh by the way, there’s a residence seal in the harbor definitely can hear him. At night time the lighthouse light rotates around which gives it some ambience as it reflects in the water. See more..
  7. 4.5 Marina del Rey Harbor (38 reviews)
    - Beautiful area to walk or have dinner
    Spent 1-2 hours Marinas
    Marina del Rey Harbor image
You can take a bike or drive your car to the harbor in Marina Del Rey. It is very pretty with plenty to do. You can have junk food or fine dinning within a walk of the harbor area. The boats are fun to look at and it is a nice walk and usually cool outside. You can not get into certain boat areas because the gates are locked but you are welcome to walk pretty close. You can also walk to the Fisherman's Village from there. It has shops and a couple of good places to eat. Have a great time. See more..

Suisun City Marina and Boat Ramp image
This is the most peaceful place to walk through on the different pathways running along the Marina! And if you take a seat on the many benches early in the morning, or even at night when the ambient lights glow on the water, you can enjoy a totally unobstructed view of the waterfront. There... the boats and yachts are yearning to go out into the Marina! You will find it hard to leave such a spectacular view! See more..

  11. 4.0 North Shore Landing (20 reviews)
    - Great Place to Rent a Boat on Big Bear Lake - The Best for sure.
    Marinas
    North Shore Landing image
We rented a boat this past Sunday. We made reservations but at the last minute we had one extra person. The boat we had rented only seated 9 and we had 10. There was no issue at all as Lindsay made sure we were taken care of. We were on their Luxury Pontoon which is fantastic. Nicest boat we have rented over the years by far. I believe this is a family owned marina. Lindsay, Kendra, Alec, Keegan and Zach all provided fantastic customer service. We have been renting up in Big Bear annually since the 80s and we will always go back to North Shore from now on. Thanks for a great experience. See more..

  15. 5.0 Kaweah Marina (5 reviews)
    - Not to Be Missed!!!
    Marinas
    Kaweah Marina image
If you are traveling on your way to Sequoia National Park, or a local - don't miss this secret gem. I took my grandson, age 6, up to have lunch (Yes!! They have the MOST amazing gourmet hot dogs, and hamburgers hot off the grill) - we arrived about 10 am on a Wednesday - explored the shores - found giant snails, freshwater "jelly fish", poly wogs, Then, walked down to the Marina - the birds, the LARGE fish, and small schools of glistening fish - were all a delight. The staff (crew) there are kind & helpful. Rent a houseboat for an hour or the day - I was a little leary of maneuvering the beast - but this grandma found it VERY easy!! The lake is such a peaceful place 50 feet off the shore. Great place to stop to stretch your legs. As summer wains, the lake does go down and the walk to the Marina gets longer. I think the walk to the marina should be short in the spring & summer. See more..
