We stumbled on this ... only open Thursdays and was closed that evening due to rain. But it was great. Artisans in the front, food in the back. Best was Baba Food with a great assortment of hummus, pita, dips, and lots of free samples. And the man running the booth was a riot.... he said the Irish invented hummus (we know that's not true but we laughed a lot). We bought a bunch. Fabulous strawberries and produce.See more..

4.0San Pedro Square Market(157 reviews) - Nice setting, good choice of food vendors Friday: 11:00 AM - 12:00 AM Spent 1-2 hours Flea & Street Markets
We are Downtown San Jose’s meeting place for foodies, music lovers, coffee perfection fans, tourists, barbershop hunters, social media followers and wine & beer imbibers. The Market is the best place to hang out with the open-air Plaza, sidewalk cafe or inside one of the three exclusive interior spaces. In Market Hall, the new Alma Bar will open in 2021 with an exciting touch of Hispanic cuisine, beverages and décor. There is always something new in this corner of San Pedro Square. This vibrant public market features everything from sushi to tapas and beyond – the culinary choices are truly endless. The Peralta Adobe Plaza provides outdoor seating where you can enjoy a morning coffee, a tasty lunch, or an evening dinner and cocktails with nightly music and entertainment. There is something for everyone.See more..
4.0El Portal Market(140 reviews) - Convenient for fresh groceries and milk Flea & Street Markets
Little market that is excellent to pick up fresh food to eat and standard shelf items. They have a variety of fresh fruit and greens. The items were not too highly priced. The staff was friendly. We stopped by each day to pick up milk and fruit. It was also beneficial in that they had cell service if we needed to make a call. There is also a 24 hour gas station next door (credit card only).See more..
4.5Oceanside Farmer's Market(133 reviews) - Go for the food, go for the shopping! Flea & Street Markets
We visited the evening version (the morning version is more of a traditional "Farmer's Market") and had a great time roaming around and sampling great food! This had a carnival-like atmosphere but was very clean and well-organized. There were many crafts, artwork, jewelry and food galore, along with music & entertainment! I wished I remembered the name of the seafood place that had the BEST fish taco's I've ever had, no kidding!See more..
We visited this market every Sunday in April, 2022, and found it to be a great market. There's a nice mix of vendors -- vegetables, fruit, nut growers and some prepared foods and bakeries. I really appreciated the vegetables and herbs at Earthtrine Farm; citrus and avocados from Churchill Orchards; sourdough from Ojai Rotie; and the bread, cookies, and (especially) the excellent pasta from Roan Valley Farms. There are a number of stands with prepared foods you can eat on site or take away for lunch or a picnic. There were plenty of other great choices, too. Most of Ojai seems to show up at the market, insuring a lively crowd and great energy. This is an outdoor market: when we were there, some people were wearing masks.See more..
This farmers market is a beautiful place to visit. It’s spread out over a good-sized area in downtown Mountain View. It’s easy to get to by Caltrain, but currently the buses make it a little difficult to get there as they have combined some routes. There is a wide variety of fruits, vegetables, honey, baked goods and more available. Everything I saw was extremely high quality. I bought delicious artisan bread, apples and broccoli, and treated myself to a remarkable apricot croissant. The only drawback I found was the cost of some of the items. The bread and croissant were very expensive, but they were also quite delicious. The fruits and vegetables were higher than I’m used to paying back East, but I expected that here in Santa Clara Valley. I won’t go to this market every week because if cost, but I’ll probably go once or twice a month. See more..
It's got to be the best and liveliest farmers' markets I've been to, if not the best. It's open year round every Saturday 9-2 pm. (except Thanksgiving and Christmas) It stretches three city blocks. Besides the usual farm-raised produce there are food trucks and tents of many nationalities. There's often music. and ethnic ware, hand-made soap, local honey, etc. In the summer months, there are often car shows and ethnic festivities going on the adjacent blocks and waterfront. Loads of fun.See more..

4.5Leucadia Farmers Market(29 reviews) - Delightful Date with my Husband Flea & Street Markets
My husband and I come here every Sunday for our outing and to have a date and relax and pick up some great food from this market. It's the best farmer's market in North County San Diego. It's great for families and some people even bring their pets. There is free face painting for the kids and great food everywhere. You can just about sample anything before purchasing and we usually leave out with our stomach's full and her hands overloaded with all the organic veggies/fruits we can find. The prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is so relaxed. There isn't great parking but it doesn't take away from the fun. Enjoy it every week.See more..
We love dropping in on the farmers market every Thursday evening. We will undoubtedly run into someone we know, which is always nice. I have to go home with some kettle corn and my husband brings home cookies. We also love the fresh fruits and veges, which are abundant. The fish tacos, when they are there, are the best we have ever eaten anywhere! and for $5 it is our preferred Farmers Market dinner. We love to eat them on a bench looking over the water. The fish tacos were not at the Farmers market in 2017, but hopefully will be back.See more..

It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the main building has so many rooms, all of them chock full of local and California history: the gold rush, mining, logging, our indigenous people and tribal life. The upper level is dedicated to gifts, crafts, clothing, and (in general) non-edibles. There weren't too many tents and vendors offering their wares while we were there in April. Walk down the parking structure stairs to the lower level which translates to food court paradise. A "buskar" (performer for your donations) put on a wonderful musical show on his bicycle-adapted keyboard. He was quite good. We perused the food court offerings, gathering ideas for the night's dinner, and settled on Malaysian chicken, potato, and seasonings stuffed inside pancakes and also for the Mexican handmade tortillas made into quesadillas stuffed with chicken or shrimp and a bunch of other yummy extras (sauteed onions, green and yellow peppers, and some exceptional white cheese). Some of these vendors are restauranteurs (7+ years) who decided to sell the brick and mortar shops and do this gig. This was authentic stuff. As for prices, the Malaysian treat (comes with chili sauce) cost $10 and the quesadillas were $8 each ($1 more for avocado). All in all, not too badly priced for some really great totally ethnic eats that we would not be able to find locally. The hours are 1-4 PM on Saturday. The location is at the new Del Mar City Hall.See more..
4.5Encinitas Station Certified Farmer's Market(6 reviews) - Rad Farmer's Market Flea & Street Markets We just went tonight after seeing it advertised. 3.0Merced Swap Meet(5 reviews) - Feast of ethnic sights and sounds Spent 2-3 hours Flea & Street Markets
50 cents to get in-Locals flock to this market. 7am to 3pm. Watch a guy open a fresh coconut for you and pour the water into a bag for immediate consumption. Tons of fresh fruit and veggies, including a 20 lb "bread fruit". Smell the new leather goods, the roasted peanuts and Mexican and Chinese street food. View rows of plastic female posteriors displaying super tight pants for sale in every color. The only concern I had was the exotic bird vender and that we had only pot a potties to use. Running water was scarce so I was a tad anxious about cleanliness. But all in all, a festive and fun filled place.See more..
