SO COOL!!!!!! This was one of the coolest experiences ever. We have always wanted to see the Redwoods and how cool of an experience to have a guided 10 mile (flat for the most part) bike tour through the forest, eat a provided organic lunch on the river bottom and then kayak 4 miles down the Smith river with a quick hiking stop at Stern Grove. Andy was our guide and she knew everything we ever wanted to know about the land, which was a huge bonus to the trip. Trip was worth every penny and recommend to anyone wanting to really see what this beautiful area is all about in a day.See more..

Amazing time! Full day on the river and camped out overnight. The rapids were a ton of fun and the campout was absolutely amazing, food was unreal, tons of fun with the other groups. All of the guides were amazing and a ton of fun, really made the trip special. We rode with Miles who made sure everyone had a great time and gave my son a special memory by completely unexpectedly tossing him in the river, he talks about it daily! My friend and I did this activity while on vacation. The staff were helpful and quick to get us started. The views were beautiful and we had a great time. The water is chilly (but it is everywhere around there). We packed a cooler with drinks and food which was good because we anchored to hangout a few times. We brought a bungee cord which we would recommend or a rope to tie the raft to a tree to keep it anchored. Water shoes are also a must if you want to get out because the water floor is rocky. Also bring plenty of sunscreen for the CA sun. Most of the trip was calm water with the exception of the very end which was like mild white water rafting. The raft was perfect for two adults. We saw some rafts with families of 6 and although it works, it looks less ideal.See more..
Sunshine Rafting was a great introduction to the joys and thrills of river rafting for my five young grand-children. We paddled a raft filled with three adults and 5 children (ages 5 to 11) and everyone had a fabulous time. The kids were able to help paddle the raft and there were just enough small rapids to make the trip exciting. We brought along a cooler and had a picnic lunch half way down the river. The staff at Sunshine Rafting was wonderful. From check-in, to vest fitting, to safety talks, to launch and take-out, everyone was energetic and friendly. I highly recommend Sunshine Rafting on the Stanislaus River for all families who love outdoor activities.See more..

We booked a Rafting trip on the South Fork of the American River with Beyond Limits. Beyond Limits exceeded our expectations on everything. Starting off, we had many questions and concerns regarding our lack of rafting experience and Emily from the office talked us through each one and was extremely helpful. Next up we had our safety briefing, which was done with just the right amount of humor and seriousness to make you pay attention and prepare you for any problems. Our rafting guide was Oscar, and I highly recommend requesting him. He was extremely friendly and funny, but the key thing about Oscar was his knowledge of the river and how to control a raft. He would give us clear instructions and provide us with plan A and plan B for different rapids. The rapids were running faster than normal due to the high snowpack this year, so things had changed somewhat. He has been rafting for over 25 years and it showed in how he kept the trip exciting but safe. Other boats (from other companies) were flipping and losing people, but we stayed secure the entire time, unless were told we could jump out at certain places. The lunch stop was really nice and they picked a nice shady place and setup the deli buffet for the boats. There was so much food to choose from and everyone was able to get as much as they wanted. We are thinking about trying the middle fork next and will absolutely be using Beyond Limits again.See more..

Can't say enough great things about this AWESOME company, led by a stellar team of great folks who clearly love what they do. Special shout-out to Tigra, Irish, and Blake, our river guides. Not only did they give us excellent service and cook us some delish grub, but we enjoyed their company as if they were part of our crew! They showed us gorgeous hikes along the way, gave us tips and education on the history of the river, and made our experience one we'll never forget. Our group of 8 was celebrating a 40th birthday... we traded technology and the rat race for getting off the grid, laughing, skimming rocks, and enjoying being together in nature. Highly recommend, and can't wait to do it again!!! PS: Definitely recommend the 2 day trip, as the overnight camping and ability to stop along the river throughout was my favorite part of the trip.See more..

Our tour guides from ROAM were truly exceptional and so well prepared with equipment,( including tarps for rain), served truly 5 star meals (think eggs benedict, steak, lamb, pecan crusted halibut, french toast, banana pancakes), and gave us so much history and great stories about the Tatshenshini River and the Yukon, British Columbia, Alaska area. They went above and beyond to accomodate everyone. We saw bears, moose bones and tracks and although we knew the animals were around, we never felt unsafe. Ashley, owner and lead guide was incredibly organized and a great leader for Whitney, Kyler, and Grace. I fell in love with all of them!!!! A real trip of a lifetime for me.See more..

had an extremely wonderful day on the lower middle Fork American with Devon as our guide today. (A Wednesday ) We saw almost no other boats, and several mother mergansers with their broods in tow. The trip was a birthday gift for my seven-year-old granddaughter and she said it was the best birthday gift she has ever received. The shuttle drivers and our guide were just all absolutely great and warm and friendly and knowledgeable and we all Felt very safe the whole day long. And at the end of the trip we were met with brownies which was a very sweet surprise in many ways ha ha. could not more highly recommend them, both the brownies and H2O adventures!!!:)See more..
Zephyr provided a fun and exciting experience for our family of 6. We've done alot of rafting all over the country........not experts, but full of experiences. These guys run a great rafting service. Trevor was our guide and he was very interactive. He worked hard to make our experience special....not just rushing down the river. They included time for swimming in the river and a special jump rock area. We did the half-day because the river water level (Merced) wasn't high enough for the full day in June 2022. Still enjoyed plenty of white water and adventure. An independent photography company was on sight....not directly associated with Zephyr. We booked this trip in early July for an early August trip during COVID. Bunch friends got together with masks on the whole time. We started from Knights Ferry near Oakdale around 10 am, ended up in Orange Blossom just a little after 2 pm. With the extremely low water level, we bottomed out a few times and had to get out and drag the boat. This was rated level 1 due to the low water level. One of our friends is experienced so he was able to steer in the back preventing us from going around in circles. A friend backed out last moment since he didn't feel well, River Journey immediately gives us credit to use within 1 year. Everyone agreed that the second half from Horse Shoe to Orange Blossom was actually more fun with higher water levels and some speed. We also saw lots of animals (fish, crab or crayfish, and plants) on the trip down. Definitely lots of fun that we may do again on another river.See more..

This was my first time rafting and I’m glad it was with Sierra Mac. A few friends and I booked a two day adventure and had a great time from start to finish. Our guides (Heather, Rhea, and Daniel) were super knowledgeable and were fun to interact with. Our boat had Heather as our guide and she kept us safe, but allowed us to enjoy the river inside and outside of the boat. Meals were very good, filling, and made fresh with quality ingredients. Excellent experience on the Tuolumne! The one day was perfect for my family. 18 miles of class 4 rapids with one class 5. This was our first time rafting and it was amazing!! Our guide Jack was super knowledgeable and patient while teaching us. It was the highlight of our trip. None of us went overboard (Jack was close) unless to cool off when Jack deemed the water safe. Since it was August and 100 degrees outside, the cool water was rather refreshing. Jack did a good job of letting us know when it was safe to go for a swim. It was super fun to ride the rapids outside of the boat as well. The lunch was great. Hit the spot. We saw 2 bald eagles, and an eagle nest. Would definitely recommend this company!!See more..

I booked a birthday group of 10 close friends and the entire trip was seamless from the time of booking to the actual adventure. For many of us, this was a first time experience and it quickly became one for the books. Long story short, our time on the Middle Fork with Horatio and Yuri was absolutely rad. Our guides were absolutely rocking with directing us on everything from safety to how to row/when to row and keeping up an awesome commentary with what was around us and their own experience on the water. Truly a special experience all around. The other guides held the same high level expectation and it was fun to interact with the different groups(keeping our distance in the times of COVID, which this company handles very well) in playful ways through out our run on the Middle Fork. We will be back ready to test the waters in the North Fork as soon as we can!See more..
I highly recommend the 22 mile run! Our group of three had the best time on the river. We had a great guide (Korina), a simple but tasty burger bar lunch, and fun raft mates. Everyone got along very well and we all had a blast. We ended up using splash jackets because it was chilly for most of our run, it even rained for a short time before clearing up. The cold drinks at the end of the run were welcomed and appreciated. We purchased our rafting tickets through Groupon. We bought the photo package that included all three rapids ($100.) FYI bring some cash, there is a parking fee of $5. Please, don't forget to tip your guide. I almost gave 4 stars because the parking fee felt a bit forced when there wasn't any other place to park (should be included in the ticket price), and the photo fees are expensive.See more..
Our second year doing the Middle Fork with Sierra Whitewater and we were once again impressed with the entire experience. Our guide, Iowa, was knowledgeable about the river and the history of the area and his skill and handling of the raft made us feel extremely comfortable. Lunch was delicious, especially the brownies, and Iowa made sure we stayed hydrated by providing and encouraging us to drink water. Will definitely book with Sierra again.See more..

What an amazing experience! We went white water rafting on the Kern with JP who was fantastic, friendly and very professional throughout. I was apprehensive about the exparience and afraid about falling out of the raft. He gave us an oppurtunity to swim for a while in the calmer waters and then literally hauled me out of the water onto the raft by the straps on my lifejacket like a fish which eased my insecurities! I thouroughly enjoyed everything about the rafting experience and amazed myself and my husband by doing rock jumping. We took the youth from our church on a 4-day summer camp adventure and it was the best decision we have ever made! Our children were blessed the moment they set foot on the grounds. The staff were amazing and all of us made a connection with our counselor, Shelby. So much so, that they haven't stopped talking about her and are excited to go again next summer (we already booked our dates). All of the adventures were wonderful! Some stretched our kids and brought them out of their comfort zone, which was great to witness. The staff came along side of them and encouraged them when they were hesitant but were never pushy to make them do something they didn't want. My husband and I had such an amazing time on our two day rafting trip! This was our first time ever going camping and rafting so I was super nervous. The campsite was clean and the food we were served was great. We watched a movie under the stars, and had a glow in the dark dance party as well! Rafting was so much fun and this trip is one that I will never forget. The price is great, staff was wonderful, and the experience was all around fantastic! I’m looking forward to our trip this year. I'm 61 and my wife and me took our 14 year old grand daughter with us on the 1/2 day Picto trip the we went on a Class 2-3. It was fun, exhilirating, relaxing, a great workout! This was fun and well worht the money, some class 2 and class 3 rapids but ok for someone my age, yet exciting for 15 year old also. You will not go hungry on this trip, food was amazing, we had lunch right along side the river. Chicken salad, Fresh Avocados, fresh fruits, cheeses, breads cookies. I just spent two days at Mountain and River Adventure and will definitely be back. The atmosphere was exactly what I wanted-relaxing, quiet evenings by the fire pit & the river during the night. My husband and two teenage boys shared a 14 foot raft with another family of four. It took me a few miles of river before I really got into the experience. I was a little worried because I've had some close calls with rushing water in my past. But this was fun and I would call it 'adventurous' rather than dangerous. Just perfect for us four city folk. It's also beautiful! We stayed two days doing three trips. Two on the first day: a short pre-lunch paddle followed by a longer post-lunch paddle. We stayed the night and enjoyed the hospitality and great food and drink of our river guides. I was bounced from the raft twice. And I elected to jump in the water and swim rapids a few times too. Went on a family church camp to Kern River in mid August with river rafting being one of the activity attractions. Not having made reservations prior to camp, we had to go to several rafting outfits in Kernville to be disappointed when we found rafting services for our group to be limited, that is until we made our way to Eagle Rafting (right beside the river by the bridge). Eagle Rafting not only took our entire group, but they also had the variety of rafts and kayaks accomodating all of us on such short notice. Their staff was very friendly and their river guides were knowledgeable along with emphasizing fun. I'll be sure to go back to Eagle Rafting next time I visit Kern River. See more..
We went on a two-day trip down the Tuolumne with our two college-age children (because how else can I get them to spend time with us♀️?). We had a great time. The guides were all so nice and very knowledgeable. Our guide, Steven handled a challenging situation very well. They do all the cooking and cleaning— which I knew ahead of time but I still kind of felt like a jerk just sitting around while they did all the work. The food is excellent. We were nervous about rafting the river as we've never been rafting before. The guide made sure we knew exactly what to expect and what to do, including a full safety briefing and practice before we went down the river. Once on the water we went through a number of rated rapids including the scary sounding suicide falls - which we then paddled back up to 'surf' the rapids. The guide made sure everyone got wet without falling in and we spent over two hours working our way down the river. This is a fantastic experience and we'd recommend it to anyone visiting Three Rivers.See more..

There were about 30 of us who went. One person was in charge to check out/rent the rafts. The check out was simple and painless. We tied four rafts together as we conquered the American River. The water level was low and rapids was like level 1 only :( But whether you joined us or not, do not go to the river unless you were armed with water guns or covered with rain gear. Our group was like an army ready for mortal combat shooting the shooter with double bazookas, cameras and jello shots. One group of rafters (two rafts) dared us and started shooting at us. They were outnumbered as we all "ambushed" them with our water guns. To make things clear, River Rat was the place we rented the rafts but the fun continued on while we were rafting. The service they provided us was great as we surrendered the rafts in the end (at the destination point) and we boarded on the bus provided by River Rat to be taken back to our cars. It was one of the most memorable experiences ever. My mom and I did ARTA’s 4-day (3 night) trip on the Rogue River and we couldn’t have been more thrilled with our experience. ARTA’s staff were extremely helpful even before the trip started by providing a detailed packing list and calling to answer any questions. The trip itself was the perfect mix of beautiful scenery and fun rapids. The guides were what truly made our experience what is was. They were incredibly friendly, knowledgeable, considerate, and responsible. They worked tirelessly to provide elaborate (and delicious!) meals and ensured that we felt comfortable. They taught us so much about the river and helped us appreciate the beauty and tranquility of the Rogue. We want to give a shout-out to our lead guide, Fiona, who went above and beyond to make this such a memorable trip for us. Did a half day raft trip on the truckee river and it was a blast! Class 1-3 rapids. While many people did get tossed out of the rafts everyone was fine and the guides were very calm and professional. Good time had by all! Beautiful scenery and highly recommended. Yay to our guide Jason!See more..

I'm not sure if someone who's almost 70 should be doing this, but if I can do it anyone can and it was just too much fun. These folks really know how to treat you right and it is so affordable anyone can have the time of their life. We did the 2 day and wanted more. We will be going back for sure. They treat you like you're royalty. The food is fantastic. The boats are great and the new owners know how to run a first class operation.See more..
