With the new COVID precautions, we were not allowed to bring in any chairs or any bags that were not clear or were bigger than a 4"x6" purse. Chairs are available to rent on site for people in general admission. We were able to set up on the lawn in front of the big screens so got a pretty good view of the band members, just at the mercy of the cameraman. Only bad thing if you want to see the stage from the lawn is the people standing at the barrier in front of the seat area during the entire show. The sound is excellent and the parking well-organized. We enjoy coming here.See more..

Fox Theatre has been around longer than I have. Good times and bad times. Officially the former right now. The venue still has the old school theatre setting, with less than a thousand seats. Every time I have gone (most recently saw Boz Scaggs for the first time) I have had great seats because there aren’t really any bad ones. Overall I love the setting, free parking and an awesome food lab right next door. But the one missing star is the exclusive association with Ticketmaster. That means the tickets, while quite reasonable at the door, will never be available that way. Every ticket will have a huge markup, which sucks and doesn’t put any money in Fox’s pockets. Would be awesome if they could be independent, but I guess those days are gone. Despite that I still love the venue, just don’t love Ticketmaster.See more..
Fabulous quality shows all year round. Lesher is a community builder and go-to for our family entertainment. My child's school attended events here as well as the surprising little art museum with revolving themes/exhibits located first floor. Only lived in the Creek a short time and while appreciating all the mind-blowing theater and entertainment options in the Bay Area, grateful to have so much quality entertainment in our backyard. Plus affordable/available parking in the attached garage!!! Bonus for us folk who sometimes weigh ease of access pretty heavily when considering larger venue fun.See more..

For Tuesday $6 movie nights we enjoy taking in a time for dinner and a movie here. Beers on Tuesday are $5 too. We enjoy ordering from the grill and have not been disappointed. This latest experience for a 4:15 show we ordered a mushroom Swiss burger and the coconut shrimp - yumm! Food arrived fresh and hot and the shrimp with Thai chili sauce was really good - nice large shrimp. Fries were fresh and hot as well. So this place gets three stars because once you're in the venue it's a great experience. However, getting into the venue is probably going to cause you a few headaches. If you're coming from San Diego via rideshare- come early with a cooler and hang out outside the venue- at least then you can decide when to go in. If you try to arrive at the show start time- expect to miss some of the show. If you are driving- get there early and "tailgate" your event. This gives yourself time to wait in the extensive line to find a parking spot. The Cerritos Center for the Performing Arts is located in a lovely area, with a hotel (Sheraton) and eateries nearby. The Center is large both inside and out. The outside has wonderful sculptures and art. The interior is beautiful. The Center is a great place to see a show or a concert. We went to see Brain Wilson sing his Christmas album with our grandson. He loved it. The sound is great, not too loud or bassy. The seats are comfortable, although they could be a bit better. My husband and I walked past this theatre many times during our week in Oakland, but we did not go in until close to the end of our trip, as we were too busy doing other things. How silly of us ... this was one of the treasures we found on our vacation. The theatre is absolutely beautiful with gorgeous marble (I think) floors, a grand crystal chandelier, stunningly tall columns ... and inside the theatres is a beautiful piece of history that should only be preserved and cherished ... tapestries on the walls, decorative walls and ceilings, beautiful wall sconces ... just breathtaking. One of the best exhibitions I've ever attended at an art museum. I was in heaven. Yes, I do love Hofmann's abstracts and this was my first opportunity to get up nice and close (not too close!) and see all of his masterful brush strokes. We visited on July 4, which just so happened to be a free day :) with only moderate crowds. There are other interesting things to see at this museum, but we were here for Hans. I had never been to the "Fox Theatre" before. We made the trip down to see "Billy Idol", and what a Theater. The Theater seats 2800, and it has a "Grand" layout. The sound quality was very good. I will not hesitate to see another show at this location. There is some limited "On Street" parking, or there is a "Parking Garage" a couple of blocks away.
