    Oldtown image
We visited both the "Taste of Monterey" in Monterey and also in Salinas. We visited "Taste of Monterey" at Salinas on a late Friday afternoon and plenty of people were coming in. One wine-tasting flight is just $5. We bought one flight each, then bought a couple of bottles of wine, and we received $5 off each bottle. All the tasting wines at the Salinas Taste of Monterey come from Salinas Valley grapes. Vineyards in Salinas Valley focus mostly on Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. Wines from throughout the Central California region are available for purchase. Lucky visitors may receive a tutorial on Salinas Valley vineyards, soil, climate and growing conditions provided by Denny. We found it to be a fun and educational experience. If you're visiting the Salinas area with an interest in wine, Taste of Monterey Salinas provides a great introduction. See more..

A great place to walk down memory lane to see nostalgic items I remember as a child. I visited last month with a friend who had lost many household antiques in the Paradise Camp Fire- when she rebuilds or finds a new home, Eighth & Main will be a great resource to replace antiques she lost. I love going there to admire the unique pieces & just get lost in the midst of the many booths & vendor’s wares. Don’t miss the back building for added items & discounts! See more..
  7. 4.5 Pasadena Antique Mall (26 reviews)
    - Really fun history! Kids love it
Friday: 10:00 AM - 9:00 PM Antique Shops • Shopping Malls
    Pasadena Antique Mall image
We visited the Antique mall in Pasadena on a nice Sunday afternoon. This place is situated right next to a large mall with a lot of stores and restaurants. This place is really fun! Once you walk inside it feels like walking back in time. They have lots of sections and it is nice that they have things like in categories. Our kids loved to see all this incredible very useful thins and we got a great opportunity to talk about how life has change and how life is now different because of technology. They also have a Lots of movie memorabilia and props. Remember everything is for sale. They had the original glasses that Marilyn Monroe used in a movie. The employees are super friendly and you can handle most of the stuff. We loved the section with old lightbulbs. They are lit and you can see this magical display. We sat in an area full with old books. That was really fun for our two kids, as you can find these books in a regular library. We saw old typewriters, cameras and lots of beautiful art. It felt like a museum that you can touch the displays. Towards the end of our visit we sat and saw lots of old pictures. Ah, I almost forgot - the jewelry cases are great. Take a trip back in time with the family and enjoy a history afternoon. See more..

    Coarsegold Historic Village image
It doesn't look like much from the outside, but the main building has so many rooms, all of them chock full of local and California history: the gold rush, mining, logging, our indigenous people and tribal life. Then you get to see the other building which have recreated pioneer life. It's pretty amazing. See more..
  10. 4.5 The Warm Hearth (20 reviews)
    - An important part of the Julian experience
    Spent 1-2 hours Antique Shops
    The Warm Hearth image
This is one of Julian's best shopping spots for unusual foods, jewelry, and all the things that add some fun to life. This time around, a pair of man-made opal earrings found a new home. The back area has a lower level of rustic furniture, antique items, and some unusual finds. This is a surprisingly large store and it is always a must for all of our trips to Julian. The Warm Hearth is rustic and is so in character with all of Julian's rugged charm. See more..

We almost didn't stop because of the reviews but were pleasantly surprised. It's a huge place with lots of stalls with everything you could wish for in terms of antiques. Very good furniture which tends to be unusual, good glassware, cutlery China, records and I was delighted with the sewing and linen. We visit all the antique centres we can and we certainly did not think it was overpriced, the prices were reasonable and competitive! The service was friendly and attentive and the person who was there on the day we went was knowledgable. See more..

This is a fun and mandatory stop on any trip to Riverside and people in the area should are very lucky to have such a nice consignment antique shop in town. - An Antique Store Like They Used to Be
Friday: 10:00 AM - 5:00 PM Antique Shops
    Gussied Up Antiques image
A huge place, with all sorts of nooks and crannies to be explored. This shop is a co-op, and also does consignment. I found some antique Californian magazines, and was tempted by some very nice 19th century books. I haven't seen a lot of these in antique shops of recent years. Great selection of vintage clothing, too. I was actually reminded of how antique shops were thirty years ago, with all sorts of interesting relics of the past, not the sort of thrift-shop-chic that seems to be what you find in most of them lately. This place has something for just about every taste, and great prices! I don't think I found all the rooms---more for next time! The owner is very friendly, and we spent quite a bit of time chatting, occasionally interrupted by her daughters. I even plan to stop down here and consign some items, in the future. See more..

    Country Lane Antiques image
I last visited Country Lane (and Judith the owner) last holiday season. I have stopped into her store for many years on my trips to visit family nearby. I appreciate TripAdvisor and have been an avid user for several years, and I was surprised no one had ever written a review for Country Lane. Simply put, this is Christmas year round at this store. The owner Judith has filled the store with all varieties of ornaments in so many colors and styles, along with ribbons, trimming, characters and more. It's easy to design your own theme for the holidays as there is such a large variety of decorations. There are many trees she has decorated to show the styles. It's a great store to visit with kids, family and friends, something for everyone. I bought myself some ornaments. This is one of the best Christmas decoration stores I've been too. I travel a lot and this truly is one of the best. The store also carries a variety of home decor items. I bought my dad a large set of wind chimes; they sound great. There is also a great selection of women's jewelry and accessories. For my great nieces, I bought several pieces of enamel jewelry and scarves; they love the items. I admit, as a guy, I have to say, the variety of items is much more appealing and unique then I've seen in most women's stores. I enjoyed looking at all the items to find those perfect pieces for the great nieces. This is a stop worth making. Stop by, meet Judith and shop away. See more..
