5.0Redwood Rides(603 reviews) - Such a Cool Experience Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Bike Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
SO COOL!!!!!! This was one of the coolest experiences ever. We have always wanted to see the Redwoods and how cool of an experience to have a guided 10 mile (flat for the most part) bike tour through the forest, eat a provided organic lunch on the river bottom and then kayak 4 miles down the Smith river with a quick hiking stop at Stern Grove. Andy was our guide and she knew everything we ever wanted to know about the land, which was a huge bonus to the trip. Trip was worth every penny and recommend to anyone wanting to really see what this beautiful area is all about in a day.See more..
Sunshine Rafting was a great introduction to the joys and thrills of river rafting for my five young grand-children. We paddled a raft filled with three adults and 5 children (ages 5 to 11) and everyone had a fabulous time. The kids were able to help paddle the raft and there were just enough small rapids to make the trip exciting. We brought along a cooler and had a picnic lunch half way down the river. The staff at Sunshine Rafting was wonderful. From check-in, to vest fitting, to safety talks, to launch and take-out, everyone was energetic and friendly. I highly recommend Sunshine Rafting on the Stanislaus River for all families who love outdoor activities.See more..
5.0River Journey Adventures Day Tours(172 reviews) - excellent activity for the day Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Gear Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing
We booked this trip in early July for an early August trip during COVID. Bunch friends got together with masks on the whole time. We started from Knights Ferry near Oakdale around 10 am, ended up in Orange Blossom just a little after 2 pm. With the extremely low water level, we bottomed out a few times and had to get out and drag the boat. This was rated level 1 due to the low water level. One of our friends is experienced so he was able to steer in the back preventing us from going around in circles. A friend backed out last moment since he didn't feel well, River Journey immediately gives us credit to use within 1 year. Everyone agreed that the second half from Horse Shoe to Orange Blossom was actually more fun with higher water levels and some speed. We also saw lots of animals (fish, crab or crayfish, and plants) on the trip down. Definitely lots of fun that we may do again on another river.See more..
I did the Elkhorn Slough Wildlife Tour last week with my kids (13 & 16). We had an exceptional day with loads of wildlife activity. Jake was a very informative tour guide. I enjoyed it so much that I book a We Paddle You Photo tour for a few days later. (It was hard to take any pictures on the wildlife tour.) My "We Paddle" private tour was fantastic! Again, I was fortunate to have an active wildlife day, and my guide Jessica was very knowledgeable and pointed out various sightings to me. I learned so much on both paddles and really enjoyed the peace and quiet of the Elkhorn Slough in the morning fog. Kayak Connection is really busy on Saturday mornings, so if you can do a weekday morning, I recommend that.See more..
5.0Sierra South Mountain Sports(107 reviews) - Fantastic morning on the river Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • River Rafting & Tubing • Climbing Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
What an amazing experience! We went white water rafting on the Kern with JP who was fantastic, friendly and very professional throughout. I was apprehensive about the exparience and afraid about falling out of the raft. He gave us an oppurtunity to swim for a while in the calmer waters and then literally hauled me out of the water onto the raft by the straps on my lifejacket like a fish which eased my insecurities! I thouroughly enjoyed everything about the rafting experience and amazed myself and my husband by doing rock jumping. All in all, a totally exhilarating morning which I will never forget, and would definitely reccomend!See more..
5.0Rock-N-Water Christian Camps(98 reviews) - Best Christian Camp Ever! Friday: 9:00 AM - 3:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Canyoning & Rappelling Tours • Climbing Tours • Hiking & Camping Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
We took the youth from our church on a 4-day summer camp adventure and it was the best decision we have ever made! Our children were blessed the moment they set foot on the grounds. The staff were amazing and all of us made a connection with our counselor, Shelby. So much so, that they haven't stopped talking about her and are excited to go again next summer (we already booked our dates). All of the adventures were wonderful! Some stretched our kids and brought them out of their comfort zone, which was great to witness. The staff came along side of them and encouraged them when they were hesitant but were never pushy to make them do something they didn't want. We feel so blessed to have been able to go to this camp and highly recommend it to anyone that wants a great Christian Camp experience.See more..
4.5Tahoe City Kayak(65 reviews) - great! Friday: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM Kayaking & Canoeing
We frequent Lake Tahoe but have never taken the time to do something out of the "ordinary ". So glad we chose to spend time with Tahoe City Kayak. 4.5Monterey Bay Kayaks(65 reviews) - Fabulous nature experience Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Nature & Wildlife Tours • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
The four of us had the good fortune to have Amber as our guide. We had selected the 9 o’clock tour and the weather gods were with us! Such a beautiful experience particularly as you get away from the man made noises and settle into the sounds of nature...oodles of otters, harbor seals, birds. Amber Was great at describing tips for kayaking and full of facts on the animals and birds in nature we experienced. Was beautifully calm and an easy paddle in double kayaks. Group size was a very manageable 6. Highly recommended!See more..
We took the 3 hour whale and dolphin watching tour and everything about it was exceptional. Great communication from the business and staff were friendly and helpful. We saw tons of dolphins as well as gray whales.See more..
3.5Pine Mountain Lake Marina(27 reviews) - Swim, picnic and stroll by the lake Water Sports • Boat Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
The Marina has many facilities - picnic tables, nice restrooms, a food takeout, kayak hire, summer inflatables and rafts in the summer, security boats tootling up and down ... but watch out for the goose poop! They clean it every morning, and have goose-dog patrols to try and keep the geese away. 4th of July gets very crowded for the great fireworks, but otherwise plenty of space and lots of sun and laughter. You need to get in with a resident, as this is in a gated community.See more..
5.0Blue Water Ventures(27 reviews) - Amazing Day Kayaking in Elkhorn Slough Dolphin & Whale Watching • Kayaking & Canoeing
This was my second trip to view the incredible wild life in Elkhorn Slough and Monterey Bay with Blue Water Ventures. I enjoyed the first trip so much that I wanted to include my family this time. Our naturalist and guide, Kim Powell (also the owner) provided an awesome trip. We saw otters with their young, sea lions, harbor seals, as well as many birds. Kim provided facts and information on all of the wild life found in the Slough. She is an awesome guide. She also has a trained team of guides that work with her who are knowledgeable and very safety conscious. We really enjoyed our day and highly recommend Blue Water Ventures for Kayaking in the Slough as well as whale watching trips into the bay.See more..

5.0Grizzly Waters Kayaking(6 reviews) - Dog Friendly! Gear Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
James was awesome from the start! My fiancé and I was looking for getaway from the Bay Area and Kayaking in Suisun City was just the ticket. I would highly recommend to anyone! I was a beginner, it was my first time and I'm happy that James introduced me and gave me all the instructions I needed to know for a first timer. I called a few weeks in advance, booked the kayaking for two and my small dog for an 11am slot. James was so accommodating that he allowed my little dog, Domino, who had a blast on the water! We were on the water for an hour and a half, we saw nature, the water was easy to moderate at times, and little Venice was a nice surprise! It was early November the weather was mild, it was not too cold or hot. I am forever a fan and I look forward to going back! Thank you again!See more..
Went to their Coloma outpost for two days of Kayaking lesson for my son and I. Everybody in the store was super helpful and very accommodating to our schedule. Our instructor Lydia was wonderful. She took the time to explain everything in detail, was able to work with my son's natural talent and my complete lack of any and all the while making sure we were safe on the river. We learn a ton and got to do a couple of short runs down the river. Next time we are in town, we will continue our kayaking with CCK and request Lydia.See more..
5.0Pro Rafting Tours(6 reviews) - Pro Rafting Tours are THE BEST Friday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM Multi-day Tours • River Rafting & Tubing • Adrenaline & Extreme Tours • Boat Tours • Gear Rentals • Kayaking & Canoeing • Day Trips
Our Team Survivor dragonbat team, relegated to kayak training during covid for a year, took our skills to the Kern River last week with Donny and his guides at Pro Rafting. It was one of the most memorable experiences ever. From the initial point of contact, Donny was responsive and provided us detailed information that not only covered the kayak adventure, but offered awesome suggestions on what to do off the water. His calm presence, respect of the rive, wealth of experience and detailed instruction put us at ease since we were not familiar with what the river was going to serve us. We ran that section 4 times! and each time there was something new to see and learn. I highly recommend Pro Rafting Tours with Donny Hazard and his team.See more..
5.0California Windsurfing(2 reviews) - A great place to enjoy your surfing passion. Surfing & Windsurfing • Gear Rentals • Boat Rentals • Stand Up Paddleboarding • Kayaking & Canoeing
The Lagoon next to Lyon J Park is n excellent place to enjoy your surfing passion. Get your equipment and surf, sail, canoe, kayak, paddle boat in the lagoon. The winds on most days are fantastic and extremely challenging for the passionate surfers. There is also a rental available on site but check on timings and rates -though i found it open on all evenings. The entire day is good and evenings from 1700 h to 2200 h are fantastic.I am sure you will love it. The Park hosts a number of events on most weekends but water sports continue without stoppage -in fact it can be great family outing for those not involved in water sports also. The scenic beauty is astonishing. The market centre is just across the road for the foodies and your Groceries. In fact the July 4 fireworks display and water sports was a great outing at the lagoon. You can Picnic here with your full gear Tents,Tables ,cooking utensils etcSee more..
5.0DeReimer Adventure Kayaking(2 reviews) - Team Connecticut Whitewater Kayaking Friday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Kayaking & Canoeing
I can't say enough good things about Phil and Mary DeReimer. I have paddled with them 3 times now. the first on the Middle fork of the Salmon River in Idaho, then last year at their home base in CA and again in CA this year. first let me say they are Amazing boaters, and provide an amazing educational experience. combine that with the positive reinforcement, and you are set up for success. Even when you do something wrong they find something you did right so a positive and a correction. They have helped me as far as boating and my personal life and what I will take to the next boater (newbie) that I instruct. Thank you Phil and Mary I Will SYOTR again!!See more..
Scott is awesome. Super kind and easy going. The Trinity was pretty calm and cool when we went in August. Had three kids and three adults, plus two small dogs. Took exactly the amount of time Scott said it would. Really beautiful. Water a bit cold for a swim for some of us, even though it was super hot. Easy ride, not too much to do. Was a good journey. Worth the time and money for sure. Thanks Scott!See more..
