5.0Redwood Rides(603 reviews) - Such a Cool Experience Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM River Rafting & Tubing • Bike Tours • Fishing Charters & Tours • Nature & Wildlife Tours • Kayaking & Canoeing
SO COOL!!!!!! This was one of the coolest experiences ever. We have always wanted to see the Redwoods and how cool of an experience to have a guided 10 mile (flat for the most part) bike tour through the forest, eat a provided organic lunch on the river bottom and then kayak 4 miles down the Smith river with a quick hiking stop at Stern Grove. Andy was our guide and she knew everything we ever wanted to know about the land, which was a huge bonus to the trip. Trip was worth every penny and recommend to anyone wanting to really see what this beautiful area is all about in a day.See more..
What a fantastic experience. From start to finish, my dad and I had the best day chasing steelhead with Jack. He showed us how to navigate the side float style fishing, which we were beginners at, with expertise, and we both landed beautiful adult steelhead. Plenty of laughs, good stories, and local natural history knowledge. I’m also a professional cycling guide and have worked with hundreds of guides in all corners of the industry. I’d recommend Jack Trout’s guiding service to anyone who wants an authentic and expertly guided day on the water.See more..
5.0Matt Heron Fly Fishing(217 reviews) - A Great Day with Matt Heron Fishing Charters & Tours
My Dad and I had the pleasure of spending a full day fishing with Matt.!We had an excellent time to say the least. Not only is he the best fly fishing guide I have come across in my years of fishing, but he is a very friendly good soul who is passionate about teaching the beautiful art of fly fishing. Any season, any weather, any skill level, there is no one I would recommend more than Matt Heron.See more..
For Father’s Day, I treated my father to a fly fishing trip with Echo. Bryant, our guide, took us into Yosemite valley where we spent the day in the river with amazing views all around. Bryant was super fun and patient with me while teaching me to fly fish. My dad picked it up much more quickly than I did and caught several trout! Watching the setting sun light up El Cap while standing in the Merced River was truly awesome. Bryant was personable, professional and a great teacher. Highly recommended!!See more..
Having fished the SF Bay waters for 5 decades, I must say the New Huck Finn team has consistently been the best I've fished with! Captain Jay runs the boat and finds the fish; Deckhand Dave takes care of the anglers. I usually fish the NHF in the Bay spring-late spring for halibut and stripers; outside the Gate fall for lingcod and rockfish then Winter for crab and rockfish combos - all of this since Capt Jay took over the NHF Deckhand Dave knows how to work with "regulars" (like me) as well as rookies. He is a master of the fillet knife to prepare your catch to take home. Remember it's fishing, not catching so some days the fish win. But remember that a good team-crew makes a difference if people come back. I've been coming back. Fish Emeryville does a good job doing the business paperwork to get on board. Watch for another review for them. Tight Lines!See more..

I've gone out multiple times on different boats & all of them are great ! The office staff ensures you have all the details and equipment needed for the trip and are very helpful. The captains and deckhands are also very helpful and attentive to you throughout the whole trip. 4.0Wild River Fishing(4 reviews) - A wonderful experience. Fishing Charters & Tours
Gary is a fantastic guide and I learned a lot from him. He is kind, courteous and funny. He was very friendly to both me and my wife who was tagging along for the ride. If you truly want to learn how to fish instead of just reeling in a rod when you are told to, go with Gary!See more..
My husband and I booked a fishing trip with Jeff on a recent visit to Shasta Lake. Jeff was punctual and personable, and he knew where to find the fish and how to catch them. His boat is purpose-built for fishing the lake and rivers, and had comfortable seats and a canvas shade which is essential in the summer on this lake. The boat can accommodate up to six guests, but he won't make you fish with strangers. If you have a party of two people, as we did, you get the entire boat plus Jeff's undivided attention. We kept nine, nice-sized rainbow trout which had dark pink flesh and are probably the best-tasting trout we've ever eaten. We had several large bass take the lures also, and we could have kept them too, but we elected to release them. A great day on the water with some nice fish to show for it.See more..
From a beginner to an experienced angler, Doug is the guide for you. I learned so much from my time on the river with him. From my experience, I've already become a better angler. Doug is patient and knowledgeable and through his expertise, I was able to bring some amazing fish to the net. The waters in this area are a secret gem and no one knows them better than Doug. A day on the river is so worth it!See more..
5.0Eagle Canyon Trout(1 review) - A once in a lifetime experience Thursday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Fishing Charters & Tours
The fight in these big fish was amazing! Our hosts were very knowledgeable & helpful. A very enjoyable outingSee more..
We went on a guided trip with Mark Last April 2014. Booking the trip was a breeze, no deposit was required. We met Mark at Sonora, then proceeded to the fishing spot on his car. Mark was kind enough to supply all the gear (rods, waders, boots), the only thing i brought was my fishing license. Mark was very friendly and is an excellent guide. one on one casting lessons was also part of the experience. I like that his teaching style was more laidback and the instructions were not too technical. All in all, me and my Dad had an awesome time, were taught basic casting, and caught 8 good sized trout total. I cant wait to schedule another guided trip. Good value for money! I highly recommend his guide service.See more..
5.0Fury Sport Fishing(1 review) - Captain has the experience and drive to put his clients on fish. Fishing Charters & Tours • Dolphin & Whale Watching
He'll do whatever you want but I suggest you let him be your guide. No it's called fishing and not catching for a reason, but the Captain of the FURY will do all he can to make sure you have a good time, if you want to just see the sights he will show them to you if you want to have a good time out on the water he's all for it. we took a family of six (max allowed for fishing) and we all had a really nice family time. can't wait to do it again. The bay is just a wonderful place to spend some quality time with friends and family.See more..
