Pool menu is limited, but cafe in the parking courtyard offered plenty of healthy options (salads, yogurt, paninis). Bring snacks and prepare to enjoy the ocean views and warm pool. Dining options are varied enough, but all the little fireplaces and seating nooks make time together lovely. The place is nice the room was clean and very comfortable. The casino wasn't very smoky and slots a little tight. The only problem I have with Pala is the checking process. When I make my reservation I was asked what time I would be arriving I gave the my expect arrival time. I did get there around the time I told them I would be arriving when to check in and was told that check in was at 4PM. My question why ask for arrival time if they are not going to have room available. It's seem that the staff at the check in desk do really care and don't offer any help. When I ask if they would call me when a room was available she said they don't do that, maybe it something that they should start just like Harrahs and Pechanga do. They check you in no matter what time you get there and they will call you cell phone as soon as your room is available. I have arrive as early as 10AM and in my room by noon.See more..

We booked this couples massage for our 5 year anniversary and it exceeded our expectations. We stayed at the At Water Hotel and Ali informed us that were able to take a free shuttle up to the massage studio which was very helpful. Once we arrived we were greeted by the wonderful Ali who immediately made us relaxed and comfortable. The massage itself was wonderful - we received the body scrub which made our skin so soft. The music, ambiance, and masseuses made the whole experience so relaxing and calm. At the end we were able to shower and given chocolates to top it off. I made mention that I had a small paper cut on my thumb's cuticle and to please be careful. She nodded and smiled. But wouldn't you know it that she filed over it right away! Realizing her mistake, she apologized. However she did it at least 4 more times before my appt was over. It was worse when she was done. The filing job and paint job was fine and quick. The massage was really weak as was the scrub. I've gotten much better for 1/2 the cost a cheap place in the city. If they worked on the massage part, it would be so much better.
