We spent 7 days skiing over the holidays at Hunter Mountain. The staff were great. The people working the lines were very vocal about making sure everyone wears masks over their noses while waiting in line. Because of their protocols, lines were pretty long. It was also easy to make reservations for the restaurant and seating was well designed to keep you away from others. (5 Stars for COVID Protocols) As for the skiing/snowboarding, because of the warm weather (and rain), not many trails were open. I would have liked more trails and more snowboard features for my kid.See more..

My friends and I went on 12/26/20 from Queens, NY, only to find out the resort was closed because of the storm. My friends called them for the refund for the lift tickets and rental we reserved. My friend said their customer service was not friendly and told them the refund was automatic. One month later today (1/26/21), we still have not got our refund back. I called today and the lady at the customer service told me to email the issue and hung up on me twice. I wonder how they trained their staff because I believe hanging up the phone on someone is rude. I did not catch the email address she gave me since she hung up on me so I called around 10 more times, but no one picked up (I hope she did not purposely do that). The third time, another lady picked up with a more friendly tone and did not hang up on me. What should I think about this? Great resort for young beginners but the staff who answers the phone needs more training?See more..

I have skied here for 5 years! It’s a great mountain. The workers are very friendly and the lodge is extremely nice. It has just been renovated and the inside is outstanding. At the top of the mountain, there is a nice view of Lake Delta. A nice thing about Woods Valley is that they normally have more snow than competing mountains. This is partly due to its geographical location as well as the many snow machines that are situated along the side of each run! With the warm temps we have been having and low accumulation, the trails were in excellent condition. The area is so quite and beautifully majestic. The owners/workers were really kind and helpful. Even though the lodge is dated, it is warm and inviting with a wood burning fireplace. The rentals worked great. My only thought would be is there is no food or drinks, available for purchase. If you want to make a day of it you will need to bring your own food and beverages. With that being said; with the limited amount of operating days available to this gem, it’s understandable why they don’t bother with food service. I love this place! Will definitely be back.
