Take a hike along the Stag Brook Falls trail or Bear Den Mountain, play a round of Disc Golf and check out the area's most exhilarating, challenging Mountain Biking terrain. Or gather the family for an afternoon of taking it all in with a Scenic Cloudsplitter Gondola Ride to the summit of Little Whiteface. Drive the Whiteface Veteran's Memorial Highway to the summit, and lean into the Adirondack breeze as you marvel at the world below you. This well-known mountain offers exciting and scenic runs for skiers of all levels: Beginners do well on Easy Acres, which features its own ski school, novices and intermediates enjoy Little Whiteface, while experts head to the heart-pounding summit.

    Annual family ski trip
We come every year since 1997 and my kids literally grew up skiing here. We enjoy seeing the changes every year and are happy to see the evolving changes. We are lunch at the bear den restaurant and we’re very disappointed. $10 for a can of local beer. The southwest themed menu was not spectacular. I had the southwest salad and it literally was covered in jarred jalapeños. I could not eat it. Food is much better at the cloudspin lounge. Tap beer pint for $8 when the equivalent can ( 12oz) was $10 on the other side. My daughters boyfriend joined us this year and he has never skied. We paid $69 and he did not get what we thought was an adequate lesson. We have raised our kids on the kids campus instruction and have taken adult lessons many many times . This was the first unsatisfactory lesson we have had. My brother in law who is an expert skier took over and instructed him from there. Improvements to the lifts have been a bonus. Conditions were good and everyone had a great time!

    Incredible Views but Expensive
The views from the top, and all along the drive up, were stunning. However, because of Covid, you could not walk through the tunnel, or take the elevator to the summit. The cafe and gift shop were not open, nor were the restrooms. Despite the fact that so much was closed, (not their fault, and the views were still amazing!), they still charged us $40 for 5 people to drive up. I think this was excessive. Prospect Mountain, at Lake George, was only open as far as the first parking area (where you would take the shuttle to the top) because of some falling rocks. We still had some nice views of the lake, but it was FREE because of the closure. Whiteface Mountain should consider lowering their fees until most of the services become available again. If the fee was more reasonable, I would give this 5 stars.
