Captain Bryce is able to put you over some of the largest Lake Trout I have ever seen. This was surely a special event for my son, my brother and my self. Originally, we were looking at spending thousands of dollars on a fishing expedition in Quebec or Ontario but found we could have that great experience at a much lower cost right here in Plattsburgh! Eastern View Outfitters provides all the gear and a modern, safe boat. We started first thing in the morning and got to appreciate an amazing Sunrise on a quiet Lake Champlain, in addition to bringing in approximately 15 big Lakers among the 3 of us. My family and I (children ages 12,10 and 8) just came from an amazing fishing trip with captain Tim. We found Bolton Boat Tours on Trip Advisors and booked based on the positive reviews. We had the best time, the kids were so happy and engaged the entire time. The scenery is gorgeous and captain Tim had many interesting facts about the lake and the surrounding area. My kids are begging to go back again tomorrow. We highly recommend booking a fishing (or swimming and tubing tour) with this company. We went out with Joe G today fishing for lake trout and we had a great time. This was my 4th time fishing with Joe and every time we catch fish and have a great day on Lake George. Today we landed 13 or 14 fish before 11am and our first 9-10 were caught before 10am. We did use another charter captain a few years back (Joe was booked) and he was a bit of a curmudgeon and nowhere near the fisherman Joe is. If you are looking for a fishing charter captain on Lake George Joe IS THE ONLY GUY to go fishing with. He is a great fisherman and terrific person to boot.See more..

I highly recommend Brookdog Fishing Company when you come to the Niagara Falls area. No matter what your experience Ryan will put you on fish and make it fun, enjoyable, and educational. As teachers, my husband and I enjoy learning and Ryan’s knowledge of the area, lakes, river systems, fish, wildlife, and history were bonus to the black drum and small mouth bass we caught. His recommendations on things to do, places to eat, and photo opportunities made our stay in Niagara exceptional. I can’t say enough about how fabulous he was. We had an absolutely fantastic trip ice fishing with Jeff. He made an effort to get us out on the ice even in the midst of an ice and snow storm. He was knowledgeable and made sure our kids (8 and 10) were involved in every step of the process. His ice shanty had a nice heater in case we needed a break. And the four wheeler ride out to our spot was a highlight. We caught 3 fish during our 2 hour trip - including a 30 inch 9 lb lake trout that my 10 year old reeled in. My family and I highly recommend Jeff for anyone fishing in the area.See more..
I have been fishing with Pete at Adirondack Champlain Guide Service for 20 years. I come back each and every year because of the quality fishing (size and numbers) and the fact that Pete makes everyone who stays with him feel like family. The guides know the lake inside and out and are in constant communication throughout the day to see where the fish are and what is working. The small mouth fishing is the best but you can get Lake Trout, Pike and Salmon depending on the time of year. I cant recommend this place enough.See more..

Me and a buddy went fishing with Scriba Fishing Charters Sept 8th. Chris and his son Christopher went above and beyond to find us some Walleyes on a day that others back at the launch were complaining about not getting a single bite. They also put us on to one of the best Perch catches of my fishing days. They are extremely knowledgeable, curtious, and made us feel as if we were fishing not with a charter, but more so like fishing with a couple of buddies. We booked a guided hike through Viator and drove to NY from VA for the experience. When I contacted Grasse River Adventures to confirm the day before the scheduled hike. I was told that there was no record of the hike and that it couldn’t be scheduled. The owner, personally, handled the issue with impeccable professionalism. Mr. Burnham secured me a guided tour with another company and compensated me for the change. He followed up to make sure I was able to give the first time hike experience on the day scheduled. We caught some nice Brown trout, Lake Trout, Steelhead, and King Salmon. The captain is always working changing lures and changing depths. He uses down riggers Dipsey Divers and a long line setup with copper line way back in the center. Plus, he will send out otter boards on either side of the boat with releases for an extra two rods. He is a great guy and works very hard to catch fish. The boat is a sweetheart that sounds and rides perfect. Chris is a real professional and he likes to get started early. He cleans and bags your fish and has a great sense of humor. We have chartered our share of boats Chris and his boat are surely one of the best combinations we have ever fished. So much fun! I can't wait to go out again this year to go fishing for lake trout. So delicious...the lake is absolutely gorgeous, and you cannot beat the summers in Upstate NY. A very knowledgeable guide with lots of experience. Make sure and ask about the shore dinners. The private island is the perfect end to a perfect day on the water. 10/10See more..

My family and I had the opportunity to explore Lake George on a chartered fishing boat. There were six of us in all - My husband and I, our dear friend JS(who treated us to this wonderful experience), my two sons (16 & 11) and my nephew (17). We packed sandwiches and drinks and met Captain Greg at the dock. We were a bit sad to hear that Captain Greg couldn't take us out, but left us in good hands with Travis. The experience was far better than I imagined... someone that is a bit scared of the water and not really into fishing. Travis took us deeper into Lake George and baited everyone. It took awhile to hook a fish but when we started it began to get exciting... bass, perch... I caught three fish in all and felt so proud when we took photos of my biggest catch. Travis was patient and kind. He kept the boys entertained by answering silly questions about himself, and won them over when he offered to play music from their phone on the boats sound system.
