His patience and knowledge in answering all questions was outstanding. We have two young boys who asked numerous questions and Garrett had patience in answering all the questions. If you've never been on a horse, that's okay! The friendly staff advise you step by step on what to do and they don't rush you through it, they wait until your comfortable. All of the horses were absolutely sweet, trained and responsive, each one had its own personality which our group found to be hilarious since the horses almost matched our own. I've personally been before, this was my second time returning and it did not disappoint. We did the sunset ride, food was cooked on a grill to perfection. A beautiful view on top of the mountain overlooking Lake Luzerne and Lake George. It's a breathtaking experience. Dylan and Ella were incredible guides! Got the last ride of the season! Very friendly guide, beautiful views, great horses! Cannot say enough about this experience. Kyle is welcoming and made sure we had a good time. We always try to ride when on vacation, this is one of the top rides (compares to Colorado and Arizona). Horses were eager to hit the trails, even the challenging terrain was covered with enthousiasm. No nose to tail, free to ride at our pace and no extra charge for private ride and pictures. We'll be back for sure next year! Thank you Kyle and Popeye (my horse:) ). We were staying in South Lee and this farm is about 30 mins drive, so worth it! I cannot say enough about this tour! Special thanks to Greg, Laura and family for running such an amazing snowmobile tour. We loved every breath taking second. My 11 year old was on the double snowmobile with tour guide Greg. Because one of his jobs on the tour is to double back a few times to make sure the group was doing OK, she got to take a few short cuts which made her ride so much more exciting! My daughter was so nervous prior to the tour, and now she wants to go again and again and again! I was so proud of her. As a whole family with another family that joined us, we truly had one of the greatest times together that we ever had! The trails were absolutely beautiful! Thank you Greg, Laura and your families for giving us a day that will be in our hearts forever! Cannot wait to return! Terrible!!!!! The animals are abused and neglected. They don't feed the animals any vegetables or fruit, only junky pellets. The hay is disgusting!!!!! It cannot be called hay!!!!!!!! The rabbits are treated like trash!!!!!!!!!!!!! They are overfed pellets and not given any normal food or hay. They are angora rabbits and they aren't given the proper grooming required for their unique and beautiful species!!!!!!!!!! Their fur is in clumps and their nails are long and unkempt. When I came into the rabbit enclosure they were all huddled in the corner in fear. They aren't given enough love and attention. They were sickly looking and had crusted eyeballs. 1.0Western Riding Stables(1 review) - Owner and Guide of Western Riding Stables, Inc. is ill prepared and leaves his guests to walking Horseback Riding Tours We arranged for a Horse Back Riding Experience at the Western Riding Stables. Our party gave the heights and weights of our party. On two of the horses, the saddles were ill fitted. As I was riding a horse directly following the owner I pointed out that one of the stirrups was ill fitting and asked what could be done. He muttered some words and proceeded onward. What was especially perplexing was the fact that he was riding very quickly leaving the other members of our party behind along with this assistant. He proceeded at this pace notwithstanding the fact that his assistant was yelling for him to stop (she dropped her reins). Later I began to experience pain in my knee. The horse that I was on was a very frisky horse and I had last rode a horse 2 years ago.. In any event, I indicated to the owner that I had to get up the horse and did so. He refused to have a horse switch, took my horse and made me walk. The owner had no regard matching the skill level of the rider with the horse selected. He was obsessed with getting back to the base as quickly as possible and blamed us for being late (it took him 45 minutes for him to start the rider after we got there).
