DD is a true gem! Graceful and fun to be around, she led us through an afternoon of history that was entertaining and informative. We new this was going to be fun - I mean, it's a Drag tour, and we were not disappointed! There are so many tours of NYC and so many ways to learn about NYC - even if you have done a tour of the Manhattan, even if you have done a tour of Greenwich (West) Village - you will learn new things with DD and will not be disappointed! Hubby and I attended an evening class (7pm -9pm). We paid $35 each, reserved online ahead of time. Price only includes the painting, no drinks or food. They have a bar with beer and wine ($4-8 range I think) and some candy bar type snacks. I, unfortunately, am only a liquor/mixed drink girl so I did not partake. Which sort of stinks because I think those that were drinking had way more fun. Staff was fun and energetic. They blasted horrible 90s rap which if given the option I would have vetoed no in lieu of something else. But there was no vote. They have an instructor up front and a tv screen so everyone can see. Instructions were easy to follow and they encouraged us to do what we wanted (was ok to not follow if you just wanted to paint). The studio was a little chilly so I'd recommend layers. The stools were really uncomfortable (my butt was asleep 30 minutes in). Otherwise was a fun night. Definitely different. A friend took her young daughter, but to a day class. I wouldn't recommend a night class for kids. Oh, and in case the instructors read this... paint the water lines in blue next time. You had us do yellow and I spent a good chunk of time trying to get the yellow out of my water/beach! See more..
