4.0The Sagamore Golf Course(54 reviews) - WOW this course is nice Wednesday: 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Golf Courses
The 18-hole Sagamore Golf Course features breathtaking views of Lake George and was designed and built under Donald Ross’s personal supervision in 1928. In classic Ross fashion, The Sagamore Golf Course uses the natural environment to give each hole its challenge and beauty. Lush fairways are narrow and lined with hardwoods, while deep bunkers surround undulating greens. The Sagamore’s par 70 championship course is located on the mainland and features a practice range, professional instruction and an award-winning Pro Shop. Shuttle service is provided between the golf course and the resort.See more..
Played 5/3 Sat. Course was in horrible condition. Greens were ok, little slow. Fairways were beat up and 2-3 ponds are dried out and some bunkers were hard. They didn't really take care if the rough area either. Many dead grass areas and trees were cut off. I used to love this course 3-5 years ago. The course used to have a beautiful layouts with great condition and great scenery BUT in last two years, the course condition has been horrible!! It's like playing in a municipal golf course. I will not go back. Very disappointed. Restaurant does not open until 11am so no decent food in the morning!! Also, no free range balls!!See more..
4.0Centennial Golf Club(32 reviews) - Beautiful views. Course is in good shape Golf Courses
Played late on a friday with my daughter. We called up at 130pm and were able to get a slot at 348pm. The green/cart fee includes a small bucket for each of us at the range to warm up. It was $85 per person. The course is in very nice shape although the greens get a bit “ball-marky” and too many people don’t repair their marks . Some of the tee boxes are uneven footing but most are fine. The layout is pretty nice and the views from many holes are really great. Also some nice wildlife roaming around - with pairs of hawks, a beaver, turtles, etc., to add to the experience. The play was a bit slow which was apparently due to a foursome, a few holes ahead of us. We played 18 in 4:15 and just beat the dark. The staff was efficient. The cart worked well. See more..

4.0Putnam County Golf Course(29 reviews) - Upgraded from years past - I give it 4 1/2 stars! Golf Courses
Four stars didn’t seem quite enough for a public, county course that has had major upgrades and was in very good shape for a public course . More improvements appear to be on their way as well. I played here about 10 years ago and was pleasantly surprised that there were so many improvements. The greens were in nice shape and rolled pretty true. The staff was excellent, from check-in to starter to ranger. The play was a little slow but not that bad. They were pretty booked up for the afternoon on a nice friday. There is a snack shop open near several of the holes and the restaurant was open for take out as well. The price was reasonable compared with places like Centennial or Hudson Hills. You will find quite a few holes that are adjacent, so watch for stray balls from different holes. I will definitely be back. See more..
great executive golf course. There are three long holes that you can use your driver on but the rest of the holes are iron shots. There are 12 holes and they offer a senior discount.See more..
Golfed with 3 friends who have played this course numerous times and always raved about what a great course it is. As u have guessed they were right. The layout of the course and conditions were outstanding. Everything about the course is great, except the scores. I will be backSee more..

4.5West Point Golf Course(25 reviews) - One of the best public courses in the area. Looking forward to when the new clubhouse is opened Wednesday: 7:00 AM - 7:30 PM Golf Courses
A truly pleasant experience - accessibility / reasonable greens fees / friendly staff / scenic, challenging golf course / inspiration of West Point. The entire golf course is well-maintained. Quiet and understated now -- once the clubhouse is completed, word of this gem will spread quickly. I'll be coming back frequently since it's easier to get on than my own county golf courses.See more..

We just had my daughter's 7th birthday party at the Golf Dome. We had about 13 kids and the hostess named Sue that took care of us was absolutely AMAZING!! She was so perfect for the age group we had and even remembered all of their names!! We did the simulator and then mini golf. All of the kids loved it and the pizza was great as well!! I would definitely recommend this for anyone looking to have a birthday party for their kids!!See more..
My husband and I were married at the Highlands on November 5, 2011. From the minute I spoke to Adrienne it was like I had known her forever and she treated us like we were her only clients. She treated me like a "friend" and not a client. Anything I asked for she provided with a smile and pleasure and she made our wedding the wedding of our dreams!! Adrienne understood our style and added our personal touches in just the right places! The ballroom was amazing and when I walked in for the first time I started to cry, it was everything we wanted and more. All evening our guests complimented on how warm, inviting and spectacular the wedding was. Food was amazing, ambiance was breathtaking and the staff there truly are no words for. From the bottom of our hearts we thank Adrienne and the staff at the Highlands!!! It was absolutely perfect! John & Meredith HuttSee more..
I stayed on Upper Saranac Lake for two months this summer and joined the golf club. The course is in great shape. It is both challenging and fun resulting in a great course to play several times over the course of the summer. I liked to play early and often got through my round in under 3 hours.See more..
This was the first time playing here and it did not disappoint! The fall foliage was the perfect backdrop for this beautifully well maintained golf course. The tee locations are set up so you can play the course shorter or longer, so we are definitely going back to play again. The wings in the restaurant were fabulous! Great staff, great golf course!See more..
I cannot day enough about how professional - and kind - the people are. The course is insanely wonderful. The food awesome. At lunch, my friend said, “You are happy- relaxed even. Yes, yes I was. God bless everyone @ 7 Oaks. See more..
Kaluhyat is reported to be the most difficult course in New York besides Bethpage Black. Have no fear, its not that bad. (Still about nine stokes too many for me.) There are some long carries and there is a premium on shot making. We played shortly after a heavy rain, so it played longer. There was no roll and some plugging in the fairways, but the greens were receptive. Ran into a group outing on the back that slowed play, but still got around in decent time. The Turningstone staff is well trained and anxious to provide a great experience for guests.See more..

4.0Diamond Hawk Golf Course(13 reviews) - New Owners - fantastic Company Wednesday: 6:30 AM - 9:00 PM Golf Courses
I have been paying golf at Diamond Hawk for a umber of years and until the new owners came in, you felt that they were doing you a favor to letting you play there. The new ownership has really upped their game. New electric carts, GPS, the fairways and greens are in outstanding condition. The driving range at Diamond Hawk may be the best in western New York. Next - the restaurant is at a whole other level. The food specials are absolutely amazing and it is more like a great Gastropub as opposed to a golf clubhouse. I strongly recommend this place, although if you tend to spray your drives you might want to bring some extra balls as the fairways are tight!See more..
We played and absolutely loved the East course. All staff were outstanding… our bags were put on a cart while we were paying, and were being washed for us immediately after out game. The fairways were lush, and the greens were perfect. The overall details of the course were charming, and the running stream nearby added to its appeal. We immediately booked for the week after before having played the full game. We usually walk, but felt a cart was warranted for this course and didn’t regret taking one.See more..
4.0Bob-O-Link Golf Club(11 reviews) - Par 3 Golf @ Orchard Park, NY Golf Courses
Nicely manicured par-3 golf course. No rough / no sand and the longest hole is only about 155 yards. Perfect starter course for beginners and family golfing. Bring extra golf balls. You will need them as you try to make it over the water feature at holes #9 and #18. Snack stand is conveniently located with views of holes #9 and #18. Grab a drink and chuckle while you watch the struggle. Food at the snack stand is just that...food at a snack stand.See more..

5.0Mel Sole Golf School(11 reviews) - Just loved it and had a great time Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
The three day golf school in Ellicottville, NY is just great. It addresses all aspects of the golf game and especially the video and drills will be very helpful at home to reinforce the lessons learned. I should have gone there earlier, before acquiring all my bad habits. James Arbogast is a great Teaching Pro, who found time to play a round with us on the last day. The on-the-course golf tips were a bonus - I just wish he could control the weather is bit better.See more..
4.5Destroyer Park Golf(10 reviews) - So much fun Temporarily closed - Closed until May 12, 2023 Spent 1-2 hours Golf Courses
Where can you find all the best parts of traditional golf, mini golf, and croquet? Destroyer Park Golf, of course! If you've never played park golf, you're in for a treat. The sport originated in Japan in 1983, and is played with one club and one ball. The rules are simple, the cup is larger, the average hole length is about 60 yards, and the course is gorgeous and green. The result? Park golf is fun for folks of all ages and skill levels -- perfect for a Saturday afternoon, birthday party, or team-building event. Venture onto our grounds, and you might even meet our namesake, Dick "The Destroyer" Beyer himself. (A local hero, wrestling legend, and park golf enthusiast, there's no one quite like Dick.) We're proud to be the first park golf course in the U.S., and we can't wait to welcome new parkers to join us!See more..

4.5Thendara Golf Club(8 reviews) - Two courses in one! Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses
The front nine is wide open, flat and very forgiving. Take advantage on the front to practice hitting them straight. You will need to hit them straight on the back. 4.5Inlet Golf Club(8 reviews) - Great food, great view, dog friendly & great service Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses Pleasant surprise - great food, great view, dog friendly & great service. A truly great find ! We were headed to Inlet for plant shopping at Zone3 Nursery across the street for our camp & discovered the Inlet Golf Course restaurant. Still pandemic nervous we had been turned off by the heavy people & car traffic in downtown Inlet & were looking for something outside the hubbub & chose the Golf club restaurant for its quieter atmosphere & outdoor dining, especially because we had our puppy with us. The wait staff were very attentive, sooo nice & accommodating about the dog, the view was really lovely & my hamburger was unusually good & grilled to notably tasty perfection. The fried onion curls were also a treat. We shall return.See more..
I haven't golfed at Beaver Island in about 3 years and recently heard that the course was better than it has been in the past. I've gone twice now in the last 10 days. We are going again Sunday morning and plan on trying out Bogey's restaurant when we are finished. You definitely cannot beat the prices.See more..

4.0Bay Meadows Golf Club(5 reviews) - I love this course now, from a course I would never play at a few years ago. Spent 1-2 hours Golf Courses I love this course now, from a course I would never play at a few years ago. The course is in excellent shape, and they added some length to the course from the blue tees. Most important, they have a drainage system in place that has done away with the swamp that this course used to be. The fairways are green and lush, and the greens are fast but fair. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, and the food is the best golf course fare in the area. I like it so much there now that I signed up for a membership for the 2017 season since I plan on playing there as my "home course" next year. The bottom line is that is is nice to have a public, reasonably priced course in the Queensbury Area where they care about the condition of the course and the folks that play there.See more..
