Just returned from weekend glamping in Watch Hill, Fire Island, NY. Glamping tent was great. There is restroom/shower facility, fantastic food truck/bar area in the marina with live music on weekend, general store in marina. Check in was super easy - just give your name and get your campsite permit. Took literally one minute. The marina is so nice. Lots of boats with people spending the weekend. Lots of fun. Campsite was clean and private. The battery-powered lanterns provided in the tents were fantastic and had UPB ports that enabled us to charge our phones entire weekend. There were outlets along the boardwalk leading to campsites where you could charge phone. Bring your bug spray. We had 40% Deet and it worked well. I grabbed a mosquito tent to put over the picnic table at the website and it worked great. I took photos of all amenitites. The food in the food truck was fantastic. We had fish tacos, salad and the lobster roll. The rocket fuel is great here too! See more..

We paddled out from Chippewa Bay and picnicked here. The dock is for boats only but we had no trouble finding a place to pull out and leave our kayaks. Bathroom facilities and potable water were a plus. There is a pavilion with a beautiful view of the river but due to the steady wind we chose to eat in the picnic area. See more..
