Captain Brett took me and my family for a half-day sail around Henderson Bay aboard his 32' Ericson yacht on a beautiful August day. It was a light wind day, so we motored a bit to reach our destination with time for paddleboarding, kayaking, swimming, and exploring. We explored the clear water shallows around some local islands while on anchor using the paddleboard and kayak Captain Brett had onboard, then relaxed some more on deck while returning under sail heading downwind. Captain Brett was very accommodating and focused on making sure we enjoyed our trip. He was professional, and inspired confidence in our most hesitant sailors that we were in good hands. The cost of this trip was very reasonable considering what a great time we had and how much it would cost to own and operate a 32' sailing vessel. Sailing with Sail Ontario was a unique and outstanding experience. I highly recommend it.See more..

Scott and his team were excellent and provided an absolute first rate experience from start to finish. He kept us updated on weather conditions leading up to our boat trip, had some great advice on where to go, and was generally just a really cool guy. The facility is very clean and well ordered, in general, you can tell why they have been in business for almost 100 years. The boats are well maintained and in excellent condition and their pricing seemed to be a better than some outlet outfits I looked at. I am a boat owner myself and I would wholeheartedly recommend these guys to anyone visiting Lake George looking to get out on the water.See more..

We rented their 19' deck boat with a pull-behind tube for 4 days. Fun was had by all and the boat was great. The 115HP Yamaha motor had no issues hauling 4 in the boat and one on the tube. Boat was in very good shape- clean and everything worked. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. The "paperwork" involved with picking up the boat and dropping it off was quick and painless. Rented a boat for half day. Upon entering the office we were greeted like we were family and made to feel very welcome. Laurie and her daughter explained the rental agreement and rules of the lake in a very simple to understand way. The boat was excellent and we had a great time on the beautiful lake. We rented the small fishing boat on the spur of the moment. The staff at Loon Lake Marina was incredibly helpful and friendly. Everyone!!! I love it when folks are that helpful. Additionally, we only needed the boat for the morning, and despite their website policy, they gave us a 1/2 day rate. I really appreciated the consideration. Oh, and the boat ran great!!!! Fishing ?? Came up here with my Scout's Troop 17 had a wonderful weekend staying at their cabins. Host was extremely nice and kind to us. Was walking distance down to the lake. They have a volleyball nets up and a nice dinning hall area for us to us. Can't imagine that some of the cabinets were built since the early 1920's and they remain in great shape. The facilities are well kept and clean. Nice place for a quick weekend get away.See more..
