    We stopped at Long Lake NYS on a day's drive through the Adirondack Mountains. Seeing 2 sea planes moored, I asked if they did short charter flighths - they did, and could go right way. What a fantastic experience - Bill the pilot was great, the views of lakes and fantastic fall colours were spectacular, including the Buttermilk Falls and beaver dams. And all this for a minium charge of $80 fort he 2 of us - incredible value for money also. We have sea planed before in The Maldives but still found this trip wonderful. The highlight of our 2 1/2 weks in New England - thanks guys, I wear the T-shirt with pride and very good memeories. Thoroughly recommended. See more..

    With the Erie Canal cruises closed for season, and tour buses non-existent due to Covid, I had the entire store to myself. Impressive & inviting store with unique local gifts & souvenirs of all kinds. Nicely merchandised! Clean restrooms & welcoming adjoining restaurant with full bar & view overlooking canal. A peaceful, enjoyable break from driving NY Thruway. Handicapped accessible. Easy drive up parking. Friendly, helpful staff.     This is by far the best way to learn about the culture and the way the Amish do life in this beautiful, untouched community that still runs with no electricity, no running water and no telephones. The experienced guides are interesting and have a great relationship with the Amish. Much better than trying to wing it on your own for the first part of your visit of here. You will become comfortable navigating the back roads, knowing where to go, which doors to enter in, and how to ask questions. Call ahead for 24 advance notice to arrange the tour.     Travelling towards Lake Placid we have visited Adirondack Flying Service where we experienced excellent Air ride on small plan. We are 4 persons and rate is very attractive 55 $ per person for scenic air ride. It is life time experience to charter a plan and enjoyed mountain and lake's of the area and do photography from the air. Everyone was enjoying the trip. Superb Experience.
