    - Stop and take it in!

    North Creek Mosaic Project image
Downtown North Creek is a main street that is poised for action once COVID restrictions are lifted and travel resumes. We were in neighboring North River and ventured out, happy to find this dormant yet vibrant town. The Mosaic runs the length of a retaining wall along the sidewalk on the south side of the main street, east of Tops supermarket. Fascinating colors, the detail of the tile, how it changes and glints in the sunlight - truly mesmerizing. Foremost the natural elements captured in tile, also reminds us that tourism is a big part of this lovely community and this is where all three converge. See more..

I was struck by how large this cemetery is. There are some immaculate headstones and crypts throughout the acres. There were many areas that clearly haven't been maintained with excessive foliage and plant growth. However, President Arthur's grave area was freshly mowed. You can definitely be here for hours walking around. See more..

One of the trails that we passed, but didn't go on, had a portion with steep staircases, which might be difficult for someone with mobility issues.
