4.0Million Dollar Beach(421 reviews) - An excellent "lake beach" Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Beaches
After paying a parking fee, you are left steps from a lake-front beach. It was clean, and there were constant reminders to leave on your mask until you got a spot. People set up their areas more than 10 feet apart. The beach was clean, and the water was crystal clear. The water was warm, making you able to stay in for a while. The water area was well supervised by lifeguards making it a good overall experienceSee more..
This beach in Southampton is a beautiful 500-foot stretch of sand that's perfect for a relaxing day out. You'll be treated to an amazing view of the historic mansions in the distance, plus whales and dolphins playing in the ocean if you're lucky. Sun chairs and umbrellas are available for rent, and there's a lovely beachside cafe when you need a snack break. Non-residents have to pay a parking fee—which is on the pricier side—but the lot is quite spacious. If you want to make the most of your day, visit early in the morning or during the off-season for fewer crowds. – TripadvisorSee more..
4.5Long Beach(253 reviews) - A Great Place! My Favourite Beach Town on Long Island Beaches
Long beach is so much f un. It is unpretentious and has lots of great Italian restaurants. It is not far from the parking lot like Jones and Robert Moses/Fire Island and it is unpretentious. I like the crowd who comes to long beach. I cannot stand waiting so long to get to Jones beach it simply is NOT worth it. And there are no restaurants nearby. The Hamptons and Montauk are filled with the annoying and tacky nouveau riche. Little Long Beach has nice people and is a fun place to go in summer and it is closer to the city without the horrendous traffic encountered on the North Shore. A great place!See more..
4.5Rockaway Beach(212 reviews) - Rockaway Beach NY Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
Plan a fun beach day at this beach in Far Rockaway. With its great surf, it’s the perfect spot for surfers of all levels. If you prefer to stick closer to the boardwalk, check out the area between 90th to 98th street. Here, you’ll find plenty of tasty food options, from tacos to lobster rolls. You can also grab some beach essentials and cute beachwear from the local stores. It can get busy so try to visit early in the morning or on a weekday. And don't worry about parking—you can easily take the subway or hop on the Rockaway Ferry from Wall Street or Sunset Park. – TripadvisorSee more..
All of the Hampton beaches are stunning. You will travel through some of the most expensive, beautiful areas in the entire United States to get to these beaches. They do get crowded and parking can be tricky. You will most likely need a permit for some parking, but once you get there, it is well worth it! It a great people watching place with fun, loving, beautiful people! It is definitely one of Long Island's treasures! See more..
4.5Fire Island National Seashore(194 reviews) - Watch Hill, Fire Island, NY Glamping National Parks • Islands • Beaches
Just returned from weekend glamping in Watch Hill, Fire Island, NY. Glamping tent was great. There is restroom/shower facility, fantastic food truck/bar area in the marina with live music on weekend, general store in marina. Check in was super easy - just give your name and get your campsite permit. Took literally one minute. The marina is so nice. Lots of boats with people spending the weekend. Lots of fun. Campsite was clean and private. The battery-powered lanterns provided in the tents were fantastic and had UPB ports that enabled us to charge our phones entire weekend. There were outlets along the boardwalk leading to campsites where you could charge phone. Bring your bug spray. We had 40% Deet and it worked well. I grabbed a mosquito tent to put over the picnic table at the website and it worked great. I took photos of all amenitites. The food in the food truck was fantastic. We had fish tacos, salad and the lobster roll. The rocket fuel is great here too!See more..
This beach is on the Atlantic Ocean. Loved the waves- better than P-town Cape Cod. Lots of surfers too Clean facilities and a concession stand. But It is pricey. Day pass $30. Concession stand had fresh offerings but also pricey ($9 for 2 bottles of seltzer) Bottom line- treat yourself and go (and bring a cooler)See more..

This beach was so cute. It was very quiet and and peaceful. We enjoyed watching people fly their kites and also wind surf. We stayed at Frontier Town State Park and Schroon Lake was very nearby. It seemed to be a bustling little town, very nice residents and plenty to keep them busy. We did go in to grocery shop and do our laundry as well as finding a great coffee shop. While waiting on laundry we walked across the street to the town's park. It had an awesome memorial to all Schroon Lake Veterans dating back to the American Revolutionary War up to current. The lake is beautiful and there's a nice beachfront for adults/kids to enjoy swimming or sunbathing. There's also a marina there. Looks like a quaint, peaceful place with activities throughout the town for residents.See more..
4.5Moffitt Beach(35 reviews) - Just about the best campground in the country Wednesday: 9:00 AM - 11:00 AM, 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM Beaches
This was our 8th visit to Moffitt Beach Campground and we have never been dissappointed in having made the 5 hour drive to camp here. It is a NY State-run facility and is impeccably maintained. Clean bathrooms (with flush toilets), clean shower house with hot (well, sort of) and free showers, great beach area, and fantastic camp sites. Set on gorgeous Sacanadaga Lake, there are at least 35 lakeside sites that are just perfect - partially or completely shaded, well cleared, great fire pit, and access to the lake either to swim or launch a small boat or kayak. We've never found a place we prefer. Also a good location from which to explore the area . . . this last trip, we drove and hour and half and enjoyed the races at Saratoga.See more..
3.5Westcott Beach State Park(32 reviews) - Great way to camp on the beach! State Parks • Beaches • Parks
We went in May, 2014. It was great having our own little tiny private beach but there is also a separate beach for those campers who do not have sites located on the beach. The sand is not like Florida sand, ie, not groomed and perfect but it's nice to have it right outside your door all day long! The park police did show their presence which was nice to know. We also stayed here last year in the interior part of the park and it was also just as nice, quiet (no wind) and nice families playing at the volleyball court or on the jungle gym. The bathrooms are kept tidy and stocked. There is a little store directly outside the park for emergency needs (walking distance) but Sackets Harbor is not that far away, either.See more..

4.5Red Wing Park(20 reviews) - Great place to spend a warm summer day! Spent More than 3 hours Bodies of Water • Beaches • Parks
Red Wing is a hidden gem for the residents of East Fishkill and the local towns that are included in gaining access. The lake is spring fed and offers fantastic swimming, playing or just relaxing. The sand beach is warm and inviting, the staff and life guards are the best! It's great for an all day picnic, a few hours on the beach or just a quick swim. Included are slides in the water, docks, swimming lanes, recent upgrades to make the water handicapped accessible, new playground equipment, picnic tables, grills, basketball and volley ball, fishing in the evenings, concession stand, showers and changing rooms. Very family friendly and well maintained. All the pleasure of a day at the beach without the ocean and long travel.See more..

2.0Lake Welch Beach(10 reviews) - Loud Music and fully packed Spent More than 3 hours Beaches
I was there for the first time with my family on Saturday 07/10/21 my idea was to have a nice get away from NYC. OMG that place was fully packed and very loud music every 6 feet! The water was ok but the smell of charcoal was unbearable. Maybe it's best to visit this place during weekdays, the management needs to more to control the loud music and maybe limit barbecuing so close to the water to some degree.See more..
