Staff reviewed waverunner operation, safety, distances to maintain, etc. felt very comfortable. After getting out past the no-wake zone, guides checked with each of us to make sure we were good, then we had free time to go around. First of all, everyone that works for Devocean is awesome. We booked two separate excursions with them in one week (we booked the second because the first was so good). We took a boat charter with Will and a jet ski tour with Matt. Both were the highlights of our week in Lake George. These guys know the lake like the back of their hands and are super conscientious (so we felt safe the entire time) but SO MUCH FUN. We were afraid the jet ski tour might be slow and lame but it was a blast. We rode fastand had the time of our lives. We will be back year after year. Thanks, guys!!See more..

We rented their 19' deck boat with a pull-behind tube for 4 days. Fun was had by all and the boat was great. The 115HP Yamaha motor had no issues hauling 4 in the boat and one on the tube. Boat was in very good shape- clean and everything worked. The staff was very knowledgable and friendly. The "paperwork" involved with picking up the boat and dropping it off was quick and painless. I highly recommend these guys. Anne and Rob both helped us have a great time with our canoe rentals. Anne was extremely patient with me as I changed the number of people in our party twice the day before our trip. Rob drove the canoes to the drop off point and carried them to the water by himself. He then gave us some valuable tips pertaining to our route. I then realized I wouldn’t have enough gas to get back to town, so Rob left a full 5 gallon gas can under my car for when we returned! I have rented from numerous operators over the years and these guys are by far the best. I tried these guys because all of the “usual” places were sold out. Lucky me. The boats are newer models and very clean. Very smooth check in and check out process. It’s smaller than other places which makes it fast and easy. Plenty of staff to help with questions or assistance. We rented a pontoon boat for 10 and had plenty of room. Totally worth the extra 20 minutes from Chics. I’m a repeat customer for life.See more..

A few weeks ago, I decided that I wanted to do something new and different this summer and after some thought and input from friends on facebook, I chose this! I had seen some people on the waterbikes last summer and it looked like fun SOOOOOOOOOOOooooo today was the day. It finally worked out for two friends and myself to drive from Lockport to Tonawanda Gateway Harbor and rent hydrobikes and peddle for a whole hour. We chose to go to the right on Ellicott Creek since it appeared to have less water traffic. At the end we went out into the Erie Canal for a a few minutes, in order to get a different perspective. We absolutely LOVED our experience. The guy running this attraction was very helpful and gave us sufficient information to get started. What more can I say!!! Oh yes, only ten dollars for a full hour and that is plenty of time. I hope readers of this review will consider this attraction.See more..

A completely mind-blowing experience, we descended 169 ft. from the Mohawk River to the Hudson River, bypassing Cohoes Falls. We had no idea what to expect as we had never paddled any part of the Mohawk or Erie Canal. But Donna organized everything including equipment, itinerary, recommended lodging, and transportation. Don't be impressed by its fancy name, it looks nothing like a Yacht Club. However, it is located near the mouth of the Chazy River leading into Lake Champlain. For $40 for half a day, we were able to take the canoe and fish at our leisure without having to worry about paddling. The gentleman working was helpful in getting the canoe in and out of the water. Needed a rental mountain bike for two weeks, near Castleton University/Castleton (Putney Travel)--and these folks popped up. They promised to fit a smaller sized mountain bike --and they did exactly that. Good equipment, well maintained, worked flawlessly and safely through the two weeks, easy return--for a big group, they would have trailered everything over and then picked it up--but we were just one bike and it wasn't a hassle. They have a pretty large selection in the bike sheds---from little tiny kid bikes with training wheels and tassels on the handle bars to some medium sophisticated, double suspension mountain bikes for what I presume are very serious riders. He threw in the cable lock (to prevent a nuisance disappearance more than a major theft problem) and a helmet too. Pleasant guy and nice experience.See more..
