You can start by hopping a Sky Pod to the top of the tallest building in the Western Hemisphere. There, 102 stories up, find yourself face-to-face with New York’s iconic skyline. Maybe you’ve seen views of the city before, but never quite like this. Walk the three sprawling levels of the Observatory and discover surprises along the way. Drop into the café and grab a bite to eat. Step onto the Sky Portal and stroll high above the crowded streets. Take an interactive guided tour of the city with the help of our Skyline Concierges, available to answer any questions you might have about New York’s long and storied history. And don’t leave without stopping by the One Mix bar for a glass of celebratory prosecco and one last look toward the horizon. See for yourself why One World Observatory is truly An Experience Above. 5. 4.5 Niagara Falls Observation Tower (1.086 reviews)
    - Best views from the American side
Spent < 1 hour Observation Decks & Towers
    Niagara Falls Observation Tower image
The Canadian side offers way better Falls views than the American. If you cannot cross over to Canada for any reason, the Observation deck has the best views from the American side of both, American and Canadian Falls. At time of our visit in late April access was free, but I think they charge it starting from May. See more..

  8. 5.0 Stissing Mountain Fire Tower (8 reviews)
    - Short hike for a great view!
Spent 2-3 hours Observation Decks & Towers
30-40 Min hike depending on trail and ability. Orange trail is faster/steeper with 'seasonal' views of CT& Dutchess landscape. The Blue trail is more gentle but slower/longer. TAKE THE BLUE TRAIL DOWN. Go up the fire tower (it's the best part of the walk) at least up above the tree line. The view is great, 360 degrees. Catskills to the west, MA to the Northeast, CT to the east and hawks BELOW you. Easiest Way to get there: Take Taconic to Rt. 199 exit. East on 199 to Pine Plains. In "Downtown" Pine Plains turn South on to Rt 82. Just down Route 82 is Lake Rd. The Fire Dept is on the corner. If you get to Stewarts you went too far. The parking & trailhead are on Lake Rd between the Thompson Pond Nature Preserve sign and Beach Rd. See more..
