An amazing day trip. It’s absolutely beautiful. This time of year with leaves changing colors it was just spectacular. Make sure to bring your best camera and wear comfortable shoes. Lots of walking trails, picnic areas, plenty of space for kids to run around. We went early so it wasn’t as crowded but when we left around lunch time it was a bit too busy. See more..

This is a beautiful place to have a picnic dinner in the summer evenings! The field is huge with plenty of space to spread out blankets in small groups. There were families and kids playing frisbee and soccer. A couple food trucks were set up here as well! It's very shaded and a comfortable place to relax. Some local friends told me that you can walk along the top of the dam, so looking forward to trying that next time! See more..

We found this place by accident and we had a lot of fun here. The visitor center has a small museum in it and the U.S.S Snag boat Montgomery is dry docked here. You can also tour the boat and when you make it to the wheelhouse you can blow the ships horn. This is a fun place to spend some time. See more..
