This short stop was an unexpected highlight of our trip to the area. The Cider Mill, built alongside a waterfall (make sure to walk around and look!) is clearly well appreciated by locals - with traffic constantly going in and out. The place includes big bins of apples to sort through, great cider to buy to go, and baked goods and slushies from the counter. We loaded up with a variety of appley items. The Cider Mill also had a selection of works by a local artist, and we walked away with a beautiful print of the mill which we quickly framed and hung up in our home as a memento of our visit to the area. Come for a great tour and overall explanation of the methods for distilling spirits. The tour master, owner, founder, Eugene Marra, is a Master at his trade. I know him well. He's my brother. But don't take my word for it, see for yourself! We recently RE-visited with family, children and grandchildren, and thoroughly enjoyed our experience the second (or was it third?) time around. Huge fan of the maple bourbon barrel strength discovered a few years back when Taconic Distillery did a barrel pick with Other Half brewing. Stopped by yesterday on a Saturday and was treated very well by Claudia. Had a tasting of 3 bourbons for $15 and allowed to keep the glass for that price. Tasted the barrel strength rye, mizurana cask & the cognac cask. Picked up a bottle of bourbon cream and syrup. Dog friendly. Very hospitable.See more..

One of my favorite places to bring first time visitors to the Bronx. It is even a treat for longtime Bronx residents, who often have no idea that this wonderful place exists. The interior brings you back to the streets of Old San Juan, Puerto Rico. The space is super chill and super welcoming. The staff is fantastic. I've been a bunch of times, and each time it feels like it's the first, and the excitement is still high. You are treated to a tour of the distilling making process, as well as samples of the liquor. They make wonderful drinks with their liquor, and they have a creative menu for those who want to grub. I highly recommend this place if you're visiting the Bronx, especially if you're into Latino/ Puerto Rican culture.See more..
We hosted a bridal shower here today. I am from summit and knew of this location and had checked it out months ago. They have a separate room with a kitchen that can be rented and then provide use of the rest of the facilities for tasting and tours.... This place has a beautiful clean bar and gift shop with tons of specialty drinks with their in house wine and liquor. Ken and Laurie and Becky were so accommodating with our needs. I could not have asked for a better place to host this shower! Room accomadates anywhere from 30-75 people comfortably. I will definatley be calling kymar for our next party!See more..
