My daughter and I stopped into the gift shop, on our way out of town, and ended up staying to do the treetop zipline course. It was awesome! We had never done anything like it before. The instructors walked us through how to wear the gear, and how to use it. They were on the ground, offering guidance when needed. The level 1 course was more challenging than expected, and it made us feel very accomplished LOL. It was great fun, and I’d do it again, in a heartbeat. No cameras allowed on the course, but a photographer took 70 photos of us, and it was only $30 to purchase the whole online album, the same day. FYI: no personal belongings or jewelry allowed, so leave them in your car, or rent a locker for $10. Locker rental kiosk only accepts credit cards. Overall, it was a wonderful experience. It helped my 8 yr old conquer her fear of heights.See more..

THIS is exactly the experience you hope to have when you think of going white water rafting for the first time! We are sooooooo happy that we chose WWOC out of all the other companies in the area. We really feel we got most bang for our buck by choosing the 17 mile trip with them. The views on the river were AMAZING!! The rapids, so much FUN!! Our guide, Andy, so knowledgeable and experienced on the Hudson. We felt extremely safe as he spun us around, swim in the river, let us jump off huge rocks, and also let us "crash" into some too. We really couldn't have asked for a better experience and have been recommending them to anyone that will listen (lol). I truly already feel sorry for any other company that tries to compete as they've already set the bar really high for our expectations. This was easily decided to be our new must do summertime activity; every summer from here on.See more..
It was so beautiful and relaxing. Staff was absolutely wonderful. However, the life vests are not sanitized and aired out properly. They had a musty smell. I would also make improvements in the changing rooms and ensure restrooms are cleaned properly. Taking 2 stars for my issues. Otherwise, I would have given them 5 stars.one recommendation I have is that maybe they should book families with small children together. It hard to relax when I have to endure a meltown.See more..
What a great experience! Our instructor was Steve (Stevie Nips) He was the most experienced and knowledgeable guide, we were glad to be with him for our first experience, we felt safe. He also had good knowledge of the area and it's history along with many sarcastic jokes lol. ADK River Outfitters did a great job with this excursion from start to finish. The photos they take are a great addition. My only suggestion would be to have a photographer go down the river once (without people) and take the majestic photos that cannot be taken any other way and have them available for purchase as well. My friends and I had an incredible and full day on the River with Square Eddy. If I had to guess, I’d say the owners of this company are probably the most experienced guides on the river. Their great attitude and passion are evident and I felt like they were just overjoyed to be sharing the wonders of the river with us. From the safety instructions, to the provided lunch, to the actual rafting - everything was perfect and I remember thinking several times that I was thankful to be with Square Eddy after observing all the different fine folks on the river that days One of the people I brought on this trip has a strong fear of water (can’t swim) and was very nervous going into it. Our guide, Lori Phoebe, had him calm, cool, and collected the whole time! He kept saying her voice and instructions were so calming and he even got in the water several times. This was the best rafting company my friends and I had been with. The guide, Jason R., was very experienced and fun. Not only that, he knew the rapids, how to manoeveur it, and he gave us some history to the names of the rapids and the areas we passed by. What was most striking was that he was calm and collected, and that brought huge relief to my anxiety during the turbulent turns. Now, on to the rest, the raft was amazing. It looked brand new despite its age. It was not moldy and dingy-looking. The lifevest was also well-maintained. The check-in was simple, had to fill out the waivers for each person as per norm. Overall, best company ever. The guide prioritized safety greatly. Learned some history and had an amazing fun time. We would definitely go with them again if we're in the area. See more..

The staff at SOC was awesome! They went above and beyond from the moment I called Jessica to book the trip, to the moment we got off the boat with our guide, Liam. Jessica not only guided me to the best time of day to book, she also found out about my groups’ interests and booked us a guide that had similar interests. The rafting itself with our guide, Liam, was so fun! He was very professional yet fun. We stopped to have a water gun fight and to swim. We learned about the different categories of rapids and a little history about the area. Liam recommended running trails for the boys (all cross country runners), great local restaurants and fun local activities. This was the best rafting experience we’ve had. We were traveling as a family of 7 with 4 teenagers and this was by far their FAVORITE part of the trip. Start to finish an amazing time. Great shop to purchase dry fit clothes and souvenirs. The guides were ALL funny and knowledgeable, and our guide, Dwight, was not short on funny stories, safety tips, and a clear goal of everyone having a great time. The entire trip was over 3 hours, making the fee absolutely worth it. The pictures to be purchased seem a bit pricey but if this is a once in a lifetime experience then it’s justifiable. We went on a White Water Rafting day with Beaver Brook and it was fantastic. Our group was ages 13-42 some with mild experience and for some it was their first time. The equipment, preparation and friendliness of the guides of this outfitter was fantastic and we all had a fabulous time! The pictures we got & purchased thru them were fantastic as well! My husband, adult son & I had a fabulous trip on the Black River this morning! We lucked out that the temperature was warm & the water was high. Our guide, Stevie was competent, a good communicator & teacher, and sprinkled in bits of history & local lore during the short breaks in the raging water. We have been rafting in Colorado several times and were surprised to find this gem in our backyard. The staff made us all comfortable & I felt like the whole experience was well orchestrated from time of booking. The snack & water were welcome at the portage & the tow ride & beer to toast at the end were icing on the cake.See more..
What a blast! We had so much fun from the time we got there to the time we got off the boat. There were great rapids which our wonderful guide Eric expertly navigated and “surfed” with us. We also got to go cliff jumping and swimming while on the route. We felt very safe with Eric. Also, Eric and the rest of the staff joked around with us and made us feel comfortable and like we had been part of the Whitewater Challengers group for ages. We passed a few rafts from other companies while on the River and it seemed like this company was the most competent. Highly recommend.See more..

We had a great run on the Hudson River with our guide, Cody. He gave the five of us our safety talk and boat commands (i.e.. "Forward 2", "Back 1", "Lean in") and then we put the raft in the water. Did a little practicing before we headed out. And when we headed out, we immediately met some wild rapids. Note - You are going to get wet! Dress for it. Cody kept a good running commentary, whether it was how the river "works" or the wildlife in the area or just some good stories. There was a stop near a waterfall where we had a snack and a drink (no booze. this is not the place for that). Cody invited someone to ride the bow in a short section of rapids, bull riding style, and I had to try. I think I lasted 4.5 seconds but what a ride! Such a blast!! If you have been thinking about White Water Rafting... DO IT!! If you’re local to Watertown - DO IT!! If you’re visiting the area- DO IT!! We went with a group of 14, some it was their first time rafting and some had been a time or two, Seth and Scott were our guides and both boats argued that we each had the BEST guide! Hopper was our safety kayaker (thankfully - we all stayed in the boat). Not once did we feel unsafe. Both Scott and Seth made our experience enjoyable, FUN, informative and did I say FUN!!! Had a great, CHALLENGING time with aerial ropes & zipline course. It will definitely challenge you (it did me anyways). But it was so rewarding as well. We stayed at Tall Pines as a family of six (kids are 5-15) for an extended stay and had a wonderful time. The park fields in on weekends, but instead of with loud rough weekenders, nice families that are here to enjoy the beauty of the Unadilla river. We had a full hookup site near a big field with fantastic grass. (Great for lawn games or a nerf war). Some sites have concrete patio slabs, but we were in an all grass site across from the river. The pool isn’t huge but it’s extremely clean, and beautifully landscaped. They have a good sized game room and easy river access. We’ve come before (we come every 2 years or so) and have had great spots each time. Covid has limited the store hours (they carry some really cute items), but added more outdoor activities. (‘Town’ is only a few minutes away if you need supplies). They offer some themed food nights, an ice cream cart and craft wagon. Our kids loved the playground and putt putt. We look forward to our next visit.See more..

Took the 1.5 hour tubing trip for $25. You could go faster if the water level was higher or if you didn't stop at all. A van with a trailer takes you and a tube upstream and you float downstream to the approximate starting point. Wear water shoes and bathing suits. Pack a snack and drinks. I only gave this place 4 stars because of the lack of a good bathroom and changing facility. There are port a potties and a 1 person "changing room" sandwiched between the port a johns. See more..
Went with another local outfit years past that I really enjoyed so I wasn’t sure how different WWC was going to be! I am glad we booked with these guys our guide Brian was hilarious throughout the whole trip. We were able to hit some white water that we didn’t even see with the other company. If your looking for a good time on the black river you need to book with these guys! You are guaranteed to get wet! They even have some stops where you can do some diving and swimming.
