The Lafayette Theatre, named for the Revolutionary War hero the Marquis de Lafayette, was designed by architect Eugene DeRosa and its construction completed in 1924. Originally, it was equipped with a custom-designed Muller organ to accompany silent films and live performances. The silent film “Scaramouche” directed by Rex Ingram was the first to grace its screen. At that time tickets cost 25 cents! The theater became home to live vaudeville shows and film presentations and has since remained a single screen movie theater. In the late 1980s, the old stage was redone and the New York Theatre Organ Society installed a new organ, the Ben Hall Memorial Mighty Wurlitzer. The Lafayette remains a single screen movie palace to this day.See more..

The show was amazing and was like going to a show in Las Vegas. Leon has performed all over the world and he has been doing shows throughout the summer in Old Forge. The owners Bob and Helen are real nice and will thank you for visiting their theater at the end of the show.See more..

Kids a wanted to see paw patrol. Why not go to drive in 5 min from the hotel and also suffer through the new space jam?! Price was right for tickets and concessions. Large popcorn with I believe real butter under $6. We even rented a boom box for $5 from concession stand so we didn’t have to run the car. This will be tradition for us each time in the area. Suggestions…bring bug spray and long pants(even if hot out). Skeeters and large black flies that bite. Looking forward to our next trip here!See more..
The Regal Cinema in Nanuet, NY is the best thing to happen to Rockland County in quite awhile. Comfortable seats, clean theaters, lots of leg room, and an amazingly polite staff all make this our go-to place for movies these days. Since it is on the upper level of the shopping center, parking is easy in the back. If you haven't been to the movies for awhile, try this place. It makes movie=going fun again!See more..

Went to a double feature for 10 bucks per adult. If you bring a cooler with food you get charged five bucks. They had all sorts of food at the snack bar. My family attends this theater every Sunday morning! Not for movies though! EPIC Church Buffalo meets in the theater At 9:00am and 10:30am. It's an awesome place to have church! We can accommodate loads of people, the seats are comfortable, and we have separate theaters for our kids program. You can wait in line or get your tickets at the kiosk when it’s busy and skip the line. The local malls started doing assigned seats so if people sit near you that are disruptive or annoying you aren’t supposed to move your seats. This location doesn’t force the assigned seats upon you. We went to see Collateral Beauty at the AMC Maple Ridge 8. At first I thought the tickets were quite expensive. However, we were assigned to certain seats. Once inside the movie theatre, I was quite astonished. Every chair were made of leather and they were all La-z-Boy. Wow, they were so comfortable! Even though we were close to the screen, it was quite comfortable to watch the movie. I looked around, everyone was using the La-z-Boy and everyone was looking at the screen with tears in their eyes. After the movie was over, we wanted to see if every theater room had the same set up and yes, they too had La-z-Boys. I was quite impressed. Not only does their popcorn taste like it did when you first saw ‘Star Wars’ in 1977, ( amazing!) Their theater is HUGE. That’s how they built them back in the day.
