Beautiful way to see New York
Originally a railway line erected to beat the traffic and make commute to the meat packing district more Convenient, for years it lay under-utilised. Apparently, There was talk of it being demolished when the city council stepped up and decided to convert it to a park. Starting somewhere near Hudson yard (where the vessel is), it continues all the way to the meat packing district. A convenient way to beat the New York traffic and signals but also an art lovers or walkers delight. Each section of the walk, Provides a different treat. Foot stalls, flower beds, fountain, spectacular city views and sculptures adorn the Entire length of the park. Definitely recommend taking the high road, even for a first-time visitor to the city and yes, I definitely recommend walking shoes

    Ideal Covid activity
Covid visit- Entry is free, reservations were required, you can currently only go in one direction from south to north. I went on a Sunday afternoon with my friend and it was uncrowded and very pleasant. Lots of places to sit, beautiful landscaping and wonderful views. There's a restroom at the north end of the park near the hudson yards. Highly recommend!
