Winter Wonderland

Voted at North America's best ski resort for three years in a row and host of the 1960 Winter Olympics, our legacy has maintained a vibrant ski culture and mountain energy that spans from village to peak. Its spirit of outdoor adventure is reflected by the views of Lake Tahoe’s translucent waters, and its inspiration is carved into the slopes of the Sierra mountains. Beginners will find forgiving learning zones set among dramatic alpine scenery, while varied trails, bowls, and chutes mean that advanced skiers and snowboarders will never outgrow Palisades Tahoe's progressive terrain. With consistent snowfall that stays around well into the spring (and sometimes summer!), Palisades Tahoe boasts one of the longest ski and snowboard seasons in the country. Fun ski area
We stayed for 3 nights, 4 days and skied 2 days. One day at Squaw Valley, the other at Alpine. The snow this year wasn't great so we stayed mostly on groomed runs. One day each was enough; if the snow were better and we could explore off trail, we might have wanted to stay longer. We are advanced skiiers and stayed at the Village (small, better than Big White, not as fun as Whistler/Blackcomb)

Lift not ready for 22/23 season decisions to be made
Just hiked the mountain this weekend and the construction of the red dog replacement and the new base to base gondola between there and Alpine meadows looks to be very far from being finished. If they are not ready for this up coming winter, the crowds will be horrific and will make previous years cluster at the bottom of the mountain super crazy. Wondering if anybody has any info to tell us what is going to happen wondering if a northstar/epic pass might be a good move for this year?
