We'd rent from Bike Truckee again, in a heartbeat!

We booked comfort bikes online, to ride the Truckee River Legacy Trail. When we walked in to Bike Truckee to pick-up the bikes, one of the shop owners called us by name and had the bikes ready to go. The bikes were beautifully maintained, no squeaks or rattles and the brakes and gears worked great! The tires were perfectly inflated and proved to be up to the challenge of local thorns (zero flats). Bike Truckee gave us directions to the trail. The bikes we rented were perfect for it and priced very fairly. We had so much fun on the first trail, we ended up riding into town and also completed the Martis Valley Trail. Super nice people, great organization and quality rentals!

    Great service
    We were quite happy with our experience with Bike Truckee. The online reservation/payment process was straightforward and simple. Our rental was in the midst of the COVID crisis, so they were only offering daily rentals with no hourly options in order to ensure proper sanitizing protocols. As a result, we paid a little more than we would have if able to rent on an hourly basis for the two hours we used the bikes, but felt it was a fair trade for the necessary additional safety precautions. On the rental day, we arrived and the check in system was efficient and simple. To defend against COVID, Everything was set up outdoors and masks were worn by all. The bikes we reserved were high quality, in good condition, and were set up and waiting for us on arrival. Staff was excellent. They helped make sizing adjustments on each bike and even quickly attached a water bottle holder to my bike. Returning the bikes was also a breeze, with a quick visual inspection and minimal paperwork.

    Go here to rent a bike
    Not only were the people running the shop just delightful, the equipment is well maintained and easy to use. This was our first eBike rental and they made it a very pleasant experience. They provided a bike route map, I'm guessing it was made by the city (it was a little hard to figure out). Truckee is an easy town to enjoy.
