2.5Sleepy Sheep Ranch(16 reviews) - Ok trail ride, so-so dinner Sunday: 8:30 AM - 7:00 PM Spent 2-3 hours Ranches
Should start by saying we just visited big bend national park in march and did some amazing horse rides and we had to drive 5 hours from Houston to get here. Not much in way of intro or instruction if this was your first time on a horse might be intimidating. Ride out into woods and eat by a large pond. Some pretty woods. Dinner was a tiny salad, some grapes, a small serving of good brisket and a slice of Walmart cake. Maybe worth the trip from somewhere close like Dallas but we wouldn't come this far again to do it. We did it with discount voucher but wouldn't be worth full price of about $100 per person. Be sure to bring water and a small backpack.See more..
2.5Temple Mall(15 reviews) - Very old looking and dated, needs renovation. Sunday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Shopping Malls
Looks like on the verge of being abandoned. Aside from a few tentpole stores like JCP and Dillards and a few stores it just feels so old. The concrete outside looks all ratty. I'm still surprised there's an IMAX inside that thing.See more..
2.5Rebounderz Indoor Trampoline Arena(13 reviews) - Unusual policies but fun for kids. Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Game & Entertainment Centers
I took my kids (age 3 and 6) there last summer and they we had good time. When we walked inside place looked new and clean. I was a little bit surprised that they required my DL to register kids but I read all fine print and they don't sell your information to anyone so I had no issues giving mine. Kids do require to wear special socks that you can purchase there but you keep them for a future visits. I was a little bit disappointed that my 3 years old had not many options where she could jump but my 6 year old had a blast. It was a little bit under staffed but kids who worked there were very friendly. See more..

Place was busy & understaffed. We did get a call within 15 minutes that a lane was ready, but had to wait in a long line with one register open. Scoring boards were messed up adding a few pins, but atmosphere was fun with the lighted disco ball affect. Crowd was diverse, but did not know lane etiquette. Staff was friendly & helpful when we did speak. Had s good time despite of shortcomings.See more..

2.0Big Bend Art Studio(6 reviews) - Not a studio Sunday: 10:00 AM - 8:00 PM Art Galleries Drove up to this place expecting to view some local art. Upon arrival we were greeted by who we presumed was the owner. She started talking incessantly with no breaks, with multiple stories all woven together with an obvious drug induced connection. Paintings, sculptures and jewelry was there to view but within an obstacle course of trash and garbage stacked everywhere. From the moment we realized the hoarder environment we worked diligently to depart, only to be bombarded with endless jibberish that continued even as we drove away. Terlingua in general has some weird components but this place is beyond the pale.See more..
2.5Twin Rivers Golf Course(5 reviews) - Golf course needs work and so does the clubhouse deli Spent More than 3 hours Golf Courses The golf course is starting to look better but it still needs a bit of work. The fairways need maintenance and the greens do too! The positive is they are moving the pins fairly regularly. The golf carts are in good shape. The deli is very unorganized and the food isn't all that good. The staff is really nice though.See more..
3.5 starts. This place is pretty cool. One stop shop for bar, club, sports club, karaoke, and country music. It is 5 bucks cover charge. The ambience is good. Locals there are very nice. Only negative is the smoking allow inside.See more..

2.5Splash Dayz(4 reviews) - Girls summer day out Spent 2-3 hours Water Parks I took my nieces here for a fun afternoon. The park is smaller than we had thought, but we still had fun. We went on a weekday, so there were very few people playing there that day. No lines were a plus! While it was fun, it was overpriced for how small it was. The snacks for sale were expensive and not worth it because of poor quality. We would go again is if we pay such a high admission for what we got. Rather pay a just few dollars more for a bigger park. See more..

My teen daughter when to All about me for a facial. Once she was taken to the treatment room. The young lady doing her facial asked if she wanted a facial mask and not being aware there was an additional charge for this, she said sure. When she went to pay for the service, at that time she was advised of the additional cost. I had sent her with cash enough for the facial and a tip. She was supposed to go to the grocery after this. Instead of being to go and purchase groceries, she used she part of the grocery money and had to return home. Not having enough money to buy what was needed. I called the Spa and asked to speak the a supervisor or the owner. She was not available and I asked for a call back. Provided my name and number. I called twice a week for 3 weeks each time I was assured the owner would get my message. Many times I was told I see the note to Beth. To this day I have not received a call. While we may not be regulars I have frequented this spa and referred others. I feel that my daughter was taken advantage of due to her inexperience, now feeling self conscious of her face. I just wanted to speak with someone about her experience. But seems it didn’t matter and explains the high turn over of staff.See more..

We have been here many times since 2011. We have seen the decor get upgraded (yea!) and the service go downhill (nea!) While I might add the service has never been great, it has seemed to go downhill since we have been going this last year. I want to mention the African American bartender at the back bar is awesome and has been my favorite since I have came here. At the front bar there is a rude lady with brown hair who did not even acknowledge us while we stood there for over ten minutes!! This is unacceptable since in my opinion an establishment is open to serve people and make money. She needs to be retrained in customer service! Other than that, while the drinks are not the best, the drinks are cheap and will give you a buzz. We will return but we will go straight to the back bar where we know we will get service!!See more..
2.0Mary's Outpost(2 reviews) - Old Friends Sunday: 10:00 AM - 2:00 AM Bars & Clubs We went into Mary's because an old friend of ours owned it years ago. In the older section of Grand Prairie, it is your quintessential dive bar. But fun. The bartenders and owner are all hanging around, the people you meet are true Texas characters. We've gone back several times, stopping by after work to unwind and also on the weekend when bored at home. It's like walking into a Texas Cheers. Recently "Bar Rescue" was there, changed the name to Thristy's, but it will always be Mary's Outpost. Stop in, say hi to the gang, get to know some of the old-ster's, and young folks too. My husband and I visited iron Bridge Park in mid April. At that time, there was no one else visiting the park. There was a worker who was weed whacking the grass, and actually did a pretty good job. The park is on the Leon River which could flood during rains. The road is not very good and the restrooms are primitive, but they are usable. There was very little evidence of the bridge.See more..
2.5The Edge Of Town(2 reviews) - Face Plant! Sunday: 11:00 AM - 12:00 AM Bars & Clubs
Sunday nights out are typically uneventful, however as I went up to the bar to pay for “music downloads” the band was returning from a break when the vocalist opened his mouth, began to sing and proceeded to fall stiff as a board off the stage landing smack! On his face. Man I wish I would have had my camera at the ready, sadly I did not. Apologies. I can give you some information as a consolation. When at the ‘Edge of Town ‘ and you want to play the games you pay the barkeep & tell them it’s for “music downloads” then go have fun. You just might be the next jackpot winner!See more..

2.5Lunar Mini Golf(2 reviews) - Fun for the Younger Crowd Sunday: 12:00 PM - 6:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Miniature Golf
Interesting concept - glow-in-the-dark miniature golf. The place is small with various holes and décor. The holes are easy enough for two year olds and not too challenging. The last hole features a game where you can win typical arcade prizes. Older kids/teens/adults won't really like it (especially when it costs $8-$9pp). They host private birthday parties. 2.5Highway 19 Produce and Berries(2 reviews) - Not so much... Farms We were traveling through Athens and looking for something fun to do with the kids. I found this place on this site and the 1 review sounded like fun. It was thankfully only about 2 miles out of the way...so no big deal. Had it not been on trip adviser I would have never thought this place was open to the public. We pulled into what appeared to be someones private home/barn (I think). Empty beer bottles and boons farm were all over the porch. There were trucks in the drive way but no one in sight (at 10:30am). It did appear to be a farm that grew things...but maybe better for an offsite stand, not a visit to the actual property.See more..
2.0Warren Park(2 reviews) - Honoring U.S. Ambassador Fletcher Warren Parks
This is a nice, small park. It is named for Ambassador Warren, who served as he United States Ambassador to Nicaragua, Paraguay, Venezuela and Turkey. Warren retired to Greenville, Texas in 1960. The park's center piece is a beautiful piece of playground equipment with slides, ladders, climbing areas, etc. There is also a new swing set. The park also has a small covered pavilion with several picnic tables. There is a baseball backstop and plenty of room to catch, run, and play football or soccer, but there are not set up athletic fields. There is plenty of parking for a park this size. There is also a stone monument outlining Ambassador Warren's accomplishments. It is a great place to picnic on a pretty day. See more..
2.0Trinity View Park(2 reviews) - Park needs more trees Sunday: 6:00 AM - 10:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Parks This is a nice park for jogging or playing sports. The problem is that it does not have many trees; the city of Irving should be aware of the importance of trees, specially when it is so hot in Texas.See more..

My husband and I drove by the Iron Bridge WMA on a Tuesday afternoon in November. Before going there, I did some research on the WMA on the Internet. I did not find much so I looked at roads on Google Maps. I found two roads along Hwy 236 near Mother Neff state park that appeared to turn into the WMA. The WMA’s north border is along Hwy 236. When we arrived, we discovered the roads were driveways to homes. We pulled off the road, looked around a bit and I took a photo to share. I wish there was some road access.See more..
