It was a little rocky getting to our section. Definitely off-roading. But once we got there, it was amazing. We had our own little gazebo with a picnic table and our own entrance into the water. The lagoon was absolutely beautiful. The water was great. So peaceful and tranquil. Not a lot of people and craziness going on. We took a picnic and enjoyed the entire day on the water. I would recommend wearing beach/pool shoes as it is a little rocky in some areas. Otherwise, just wonderful. The kids and I have made this our new yearly hangout spot.See more..

My daughter and I signed up for the PADI open water diver class and the experience far exceeded my expectations!! To start off, Jim greeted us by name when we walked in (never met us before), then showed us to our sleeping accommodations. Our instructors were Brtan Blauvet and Conrad - two of the nicest and most patient people I've ever met. They made us feel at home both in the water and out of it. Then we got to meet the owners of Texan Scuba - Phil and Sharla. They made dinner for our class and made sure none of us were hungry after a long day in the water. Every single person we met while we were there was very engaging and willing to answer our endless questions. When I started the book portion of the class, PADI kept talikg about how much of a social community diving is...well, Texan Scuba embodies that philosophy. If you come on Saturday expect to wait an hour to get in, even if you have the paperwork complete. It took us 1 hr and 10 mins to get to the window to pay. Don’t worry about getting your paperwork filled out before hand, you’ll have plenty of time to do it when you get here. If you don’t have service they have iPads for you to use. If you are coming back on Sunday, they will charge you for both days and give you a car pass, so you don’t have to wait in line. MUCH better. We just drove straight through. Since they have swimming closed, there were lots of kids swimming and jumping from the pier where we were at. Very annoying for drivers trying to get in and out of the water. We were on the left side at the very end. Not sure if we will be back.See more..

Best place to Scuba Dive in Texas hands down! Staff was so accommodating and nice, the visibility was 25 feet at least. They have actual wrecks unlike the ones at Scuba Ranch or Huntsville. Also doesn’t have the annoying crowds that make the experience crappy.. They focus on recreational diving and don’t allow outside classes here.See more..

We went to visit the Waterloo Adventure Park and while there, I managed to lose my Wedding ring into approximately 50' of water. I talked to the staff there at the park and they were doubtful it would be found. I called Robert at Lake Travis Scuba because he has experience with this exact type of thing and I also checked with the owner at Waterloo Adventure Park who also highly recommended Robert. Long story shorter - Robert found my ring! I am through the moon that he was able to find my ring in what should be a needle in a haystack. My wife and I are long time divers, and I would highly recommend Robert if you need to get dive certified, want to check out the lake underwater - as parts get pretty significantly deep, or like in my case - you lose something and want a chance to get it back. The dive shop is located ON Stillhouse Hollow Lake. Yes it actually floats on the water. Complete full service, sales, rentals and instruction for all level. A unique family run shop and offers a lot in a small area. Weekly year round diving that caters to every level of experience.See more..

This place has it all. Lots of gear and specials all the time. Good service by the owner. We took a class of Nitrox certification there and have also bought some of our scuba gear there. They have a monthly newsletter and are always doing diving locally as well as internationally. Be sure to check this place out. Get on their newsletter list to find out their events. There is always something going on and they really help the young kids with their scuba skills and training as well. Something for everyone in the family. Stop in and say hello. 5 days spotting and snorkelling with humpback whales out from Ha*aipi was amazing. In August baby humpbacks are small and some came up close wanting to play providing good photo opportunities. Boat owner Simon and local guide were very good at spotting the whales and helping us get close. Thanks SDM Adventures and Eli for arranging the good week.See more..
