4.5Klyde Warren Park(1.996 reviews) - Small, but worth a visit if you're in the area! Monday: 6:30 AM - 11:00 PM Parks
Accidentally stumbled upon this gem when we saw the lit up arches and fountain show when we drove past at night, and it looked so nice we had to make it a point to go back and have a walk around. Ended up enjoying it so much we went back a second time during the day, to check out all the great food trucks ringing the park. What a great place to hang out in the neighborhood! It's not large, about 2 city blocks in length, but the lawns are really well maintained, plenty of clean seating, lots of fun free activities (giant connect-4 set, ping pong tables, foosball...), stocked hand sanitizer stations, totally yum food trucks, dancing fountain shows with good music at night - it's not a must see, but definitely nice to spend some time here if you're already in the area!See more..

5.0Lake Travis Zipline Adventures(1.123 reviews) - So much fun! Monday: 8:00 AM - 6:00 PM Zipline & Aerial Adventure Parks
Our family has zip lined many times before, but this was such a beautiful and safe experience at LTZA. We booked in November, and the weather got cold and rainy. They were very accommodating and allowed us to reschedule for the next day when it was sunny. It required quite a bit of hiking, so wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to climb steps. The longest hike between zip lines was .48 mile, but there were benches along the routes. They provided plenty of bottled water for us at each stop. Our appointment was at 3:00, and the sun started setting right as we got back to the boat dock. It was a gorgeous view!See more..

We made a LBJ historical visit that brought us to the parks in Stonewall and Johnson City and to the Library in Austin. It was a great trip. We were in town for Christmas lights and a tour of LBJ’s boyhood home. Not only were the parks and library fantastic, the Rangers went above and beyond. When my youngest left his stamp book in the visitor center in Stonewall, a Ranger texted a picture of it to a Ranger in Johnson City and when we stopped back in to that visitor center were able to arrange to get it back.See more..

Our family consisted of a 7 yr old, a 2-1/2 yr old, their parents and 70+ grandparents. This is our r (the grandparents) first visit and we were delighted. Great Wolf has something to offer for everyone and is especially good at family activities. The pool area is a lot of fun for everyone, has life jackets in every area for the children, has a nice toddler area, a fun house, a lazy river, slides for all ages, a wave pool, a regular pool, an adult only hot tub as well as a family friendly one and I’m sure other things I’ve left out. Regarding the lazy river, it was good but I think the water pressure when you go under the falls is too heavy/hard coming down and I had to put my hands on the top of my head to protect it from the water beating down on it. There are generous sized towels given out based on the number of people in your room. Great Wolf’s most highly rated (by the kids themselves) activity is Magi Quest. You buy magic wands for the kids (reusable every visit). They follow a guide to find objects on each of the floors and insert their wands in the object. There are guides for toddlers as well as older kids who can choose from 3 different guides. Great Wolf characters march through the restaurant at breakfast and dinner and are available fir picture taking. I wouldn’t pay for a character breakfast, just eat at the regular restaurant and see the characters there. Evening activities are a lot of fun. The kids enjoyed the games, snowflake making and story time in their pj’s. Morning yoga for the kids is a great idea too. The rooms and beds were comfortable and very clean. The wait for elevators can be a couple of minutes sometimes but not a problem. We got through check in in 15 minutes and this was during Christmas break! Very efficient and friendly staff. Many families we talked with go to Great Wolf every year.See more..

It includes much needed recreational facilities for our growing community and showcases a true gem in the Texas Hill Country. The park includes approximately 4.5 miles of trails, picnic areas, a community pavilion, playscape, basketball court, sand volleyball court, amphitheater, and the Blue Hole Swimming Area. The entire park is open to visitors within the regular operating hours, however, swimming is only allowed during the designated swimming season. 5.0Morgan's Wonderland(381 reviews) - Great experience! Monday: 12:00 AM - 11:59 PM Amusement & Theme Parks
This was our first visit and it was truly impressive not in terms of rides or world famous characters but in friendliness and accessibility for everyone. We brought a three year old a year and a half year old and a three month old. There was no place we couldn’t take our stroller and no stairs to be climbed making it possible for our year and a half year old to walk everywhere. There a carousel and Ferris wheel and other rides including a train all of which are completely accessible. It’s not large but for those with physical challenges or who are very young large is often impossible. But this was just the right size.See more..

Strenuous hiking or lazily sitting in a pristine river, both are wonderful. One thing I will do next time is make sure I bring trail shoes or hiking boots. Tennis shoes did not have the grip I needed for some of the more challenging trails. The cabin was comfortable and the historical relevance was really interesting. I have always stayed at Neal's lodges, but even with the park filled to capacity, it was easy to find quiet places. I really couldn't believe the number of fascinating animals I saw up close. Truly awe inspiring. I've been looking them up since I got back. I will always choose Garner State Park moving forward.See more..

4.5Cameron Park(318 reviews) - I'd be here every week if I lived in Waco Parks
I visited during Spring Break. The park is beautiful. It has playgrounds, hiking trails and places to sit and relax. The first place I saw was Lover's Lesp, which has a great view of the Brazos. This was my favorite spot. I took the Jacob's Ladder challenge, climbing both up & down the steps. Unfortunately, I did not stretch first and I pulled a muscle. The steps are uneven-a steep step could be right after a shallow step. Next time I visit, I'll bring a chair AND I'll stick to the trails for walking.See more..
