    Pictographs and Unique Rocks
Recommended by gift shop at Ysleta Mission. Did not disappoint. Recommend tour guide reservations in advance, but can see quite a bit on flat hikes, self-guided. Pictographs are special. Cool to see rock climbers.

Nice quiet camping, but be advised, a lot of rules and restrictions.
Be advised, there is a strict limit on the number of visitors allowed in the park at one time, so plan in advance and reserve when possible. It will help if you’re camping in the park as they hold a number of openings for walk in’s, but you should still get in line at least 10 to 15 minutes before the office opens. As for the park, we did only one guided hike, which we enjoyed. We also did a self-guided hike, but even though we were camping in the park, we still had to go to the office to get our ‘permission slip.’ Also, just entering the park requires attending an orientation and watching a video. One other thing that was odd to us. I was walking our dog on the main road to the campground at sunset when a park vehicle came by and the driver told me it was almost 6:00 and I had to get back to my campsite. While I can understand some rules are probably designed to limit looting and vandalism, not being able to walk on a main road seems a bit excessive. Regardless, there’s a lot to see and we’d like to visit again to see some areas we missed this time.
