Stopped here on our drive through Texas. A wonderful display of statues that tell the story of Jesus' experiences through carrying the cross, death on the cross, and even the tomb. Other statues as well. Tons of area to park. I believe there is a gift shop on site, but everything was closed the day we were there. The grounds are open and free to walk around.See more..

This is legitimately a top tourist attraction too for anybody visiting Houston. I was so impressed to see something so large and beautiful that seemed it belonged in India or Middle East with its architecture and natural beauty. We were surprised to learn this existed but after being recommended, we took a trip and we’re shocked to see the largest Hindu temple in North America built solely by volunteers!! The place is also staffed with volunteers who can guide you and direct you to the cool spots of temple. I also liked that although there were other visitors, it is so large that we did not feel on top of others. The temple also includes a general purpose hall and the Shayona vegetarian cafe as well as a store selling vegetarian sweets and snacks!!See more..

Every trip I go on and try to find the Buddhist temple and visited. He's grounds are a little difficult to find but well worth it. So much beauty in all the flowers statues, fish and little cute kitties running around. Of course a visit during off-season so there was not a big annual cookout going on. Everyone on the grounds was very nice and willing to talk with us.See more..

5.0Char Dham Hindu Temple(4 reviews) - Unique & rare Hindu spiritual temple in The Woodlands Points of Interest & Landmarks • Religious Sites
Visited this lovely temple during a recent business trip to The Woodlands and was astounded by its unique representation of the Hindu deities worshipped in the four corners of India, something which is rarely found anywhere outside India. There's a description of each of the four temples near the entrance which is in English and a good point of reference for children to get to know the religion and the temples of India better. There is ample car parking space and the surrounding wooded trees makes for very conducive environment to reconnect with God while in The Woodlands. For tourists, this temple complex helps provide you with a quick insight into the four holy corners and deities worshipped in India. The SKAI foundation has done a remarkable spiritual duty in helping to showcase this uniqueness, very rarely seen anywhere in the world. A must visit for any Hindu visiting Houston or The Woodlands.See more..
Imagine a time in early Texas history when routine injuries and infections were life threatening. Don Pedrito Jaramillo, was known throughout Texas as the "Healer of Los Olmos." Today, Don Pedrito's resting place serves as a shrine dedicated to his good works. Visitors often leave flowers, prayers, photos, and candles to honor his service and petition blessings. Nearby, an exhibit exploring the life and legend of Don Pedrito is featured in the Falfurrias Heritage Museum. It's worth the time and effort to stop by.See more..
