4.5San Fernando De Bexar Cathedral(2.082 reviews) - Fabulous way to spend an evening! Sunday: 8:30 AM - 3:30 PM Churches & Cathedrals

4.5St Joseph Catholic Church(452 reviews) - Hemmed in By Riverwalk Mall Sunday: Churches & Cathedrals
This was an ornate church surrounded by the Riverwalk mall. Unusual setting but glad it resisted the efforts to replace it with shops. It’s been around since the 1800s and was the 4th Catholic Church in the city. It was open to all and we had the opportunity to look inside without interrupting any mass. I liked the holy water automated dispenser found at the front of the church. Definitely a good choice even as COVID-19 protocols have relaxed. Above the front of the church was a large organ that would have been nice to hear playing. Altar was quite ornate and appealing when contemplating or worshipping. Lots of beautiful stained glass windows and paintings and statues.See more..
5.0St. Mary's Catholic Church(280 reviews) - Very solemn and reverent inside. You could feel the history of this beautiful church. Churches & Cathedrals
We stopped by on a Sunday, fully expecting services to be going on and not being able to go inside. Some friendly parishioners saw us wandering around and invited us in. Beautiful church inside and out. Out of respect for the people inside, I did not take any interior photos.See more..

Stonebriar exists to encourage all people to pursue a lifelong, joyous relationship with Jesus Christ. Our history dates back to 1998, when a small group of people, including Senior Pastor Chuck Swindoll, founded a church in Frisco, Texas. We are a nondenominational, evangelical Christian church. That means that we are governed by our own elders, not an outside organization. About 4,000 people worship at Stonebriar each Sunday.See more..
5.0Basilica of Our Lady of San Juan Del Valle(64 reviews) - A Great Affection for Jesus and Mary in Our Lady of San Juan Del Valle Sunday: 6:00 AM - 8:00 PM Spent 1-2 hours Points of Interest & Landmarks • Churches & Cathedrals
It was my first visit to San Juan as I had always desired to go and pray there. I could see in the pilgrims attending Mass that they are some of the most devout Catholics. I absolutely loved the Mass when they had musicians playing and singing in the style of the Hispanic people. I also attended a Mariachi concert there one evening that was so nice. In the Basilica there is a Eucharistic Adoration room, a Room of Candles to offer for special intentions and the Room of Miracles to pray in front of about 16 different Statues of different Saints and Jesus and Mary, to ask for Their Intercession. On the outside is the Way of the Cross with life-size bronze statues depicting each station. I noticed several times different pilgrims embracing Jesus and Mary so as to comfort Jesus and Mary on this painful road to Calvary which was quite touching to see and experience this feeling of affection they have. It was a most meaningful trip for me to begin this year. Gracias !See more..
4.5St. Patrick Cathedral(52 reviews) - Most Beautiful Stained Glass Windows Churches & Cathedrals
I had a " Special Feeling " when I visited this wonderful Cathedral of St Patrick near downtown El Paso just off I-10, exit 19A. This House of Worship is over 100 years old and underwent a refurbishing not long ago and it looks " Immaculate ". When I prayed the Rosary in the little Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, the Scent of Lilies was very prevalent and I actually found myself flashing back to the time I was in the Shrine of St Bernadette in France praying right in front of St Bernadette herself, a Heavenly Blessing no doubt. The wonderful collection of Stained Glass Windows was the most impressive depictions of Jesus' life I have seen in the U.S. that were no doubt crafted in Italy. Just before I left I was looking at the Window depicting the Pentecost where the Holy Spirit in the form of Tongues of Fire came over the Apostles and the Virgin Mary and I suddenly saw the radiant light of the sun illuminating right through this Stained Glass, an Experience to remember !See more..

The life of the Apostle Andrew, the first evangelist, embodies the church's aim of spreading the word of God and loving our neighbor. Our mission is “Calling the Christian-ish to become passionate servants of Christ.” Worship features four services each weekend on a 21.2-acre campus at the corner of Plano Parkway and Mira Vista in Plano, Texas, where around 2,000 people gather each weekend at the “Best Place to Worship in Plano,” as named by the readers of the Plano Star Courier. What a beautiful church. Had the pleasure of having family live close by and took me to this beautiful cathedral church. The altar has a stained glass mural behind it with most of the windows coming from Munich. It was quiet but yet humbling to take in, felt like an old European church. Additionally, there weee names of the Czech families which donated to construct the church carved on the walls. Amazing.See more..
4.5St Martins Catholic Church(12 reviews) - "World's smallest Catholic Church" - quite a history lesson Points of Interest & Landmarks • Churches & Cathedrals
Traveling from College Station to San Antonio, we made a stop at St. Martins - "World's smallest Catholic Church". It is indeed small as there are only 20 pews holding twenty people. The church is open and accessible to all. Its history is fascinating. At one time St. Martins was a large church, but it was dismantled to build a needed school in nearby Fayetteville. With the remaining lumber the current church was constructed to watch over the cemetery. Then, much later, the school was dismantled and some of the original fixtures, including the bell were returned to the church. Mass is held once a month, and prayers are offered for the requests that visitors leave in the greeting log. Of course donations are requested for upkeep of the church and grounds - but they not need to be "small."See more..
I would like to know the hours and days the church is open for tourists to view. Not listed on website and no one answers the given phone number. See more..
We were traveling in the area and looking for a Catholic Church for Sunday mass. We found several but picked this one based on a 10:30 Mass time which worked for us. This is a huge church with plenty of parking in the back. The choir includes a guitar, flute, and violin. The congregation seemed to be a good ethnic mix and also good for all ages. The priest was young and a very good speaker. There were restrooms on the way out on the left side of the building(facing the altar). We would definitely attend Mass here again if we are in the area.See more..

Amazed at the Norwegian history located between Cranfills Gap and Clifton. Really enjoyed driving the scenic drive CR 4145 and the Cleng Peerson Memorial Highway (FM 219). We began in Cranfills Gap (great Lutheran church there too!). At the end of the county road lies Our Saviors Lutheran Church. Very nice sanctuary! 3.5Calvary Chapel(5 reviews) - Best Church ever! God's word being taught verse by verse. Churches & Cathedrals
Calvary Chapel Plano has been my family's home church for over 14 years. We love it so much that we drive 45+ minutes each way every Sunday. There is no better church around that will take the word of God and teach it verse by verse. And then go into detail and depth of the verse being taught to give us better understanding. There are also a lot of ministries that you can get involved in, like the men's ministry, women's ministry, couple's ministry, youth ministry, book clubs, movie nights, hallelujah night, and so much more! There is truly something for everyone! And the people there, from the moment we walked through the front door, were so welcoming and poured out so much love on us that we instantly felt right at home.See more..
