A must see Painted Church in Ammansville!
A chamber of Commerce guide from Schulenburg will have the keys to unlock the sanctuary. The interior of this painted church is a must see! Stained glass, the altar, altar pieces left and right of the altar, so beautiful. Artisans rarely exist today that can produce this quality of art and detail. The parish house behind the church is actually older. Walk back to see, enjoy an old barn there too. The cemetery next to this church is worth a walk through too. Enjoy!

One of the Painted Churches -- impressive!
This church is actually in Ammansville, TX, not Shulenburg. Your GPS may even have it in La Grange. If you are headed south from La Grange, visit this church first, then Dubina (St. Cyril and Methodius) , then cross the "piano bridge" and visit High Hill (St. Mary's), and then Praha (St. Mary's Church of the Assumption). Those are the four churches generally open.
