A good church to visit when in Schulemburg
This is another of the Schulemburg area churches on the Painted Churches tour and is really worth a visit. The ceiling was all hand painted by one man and features only plants native to Texas. The cemetery behind it is also interesting.

Tour of the painted Churches
Another great example of the pioneer spirit coupled with artistry. Well worth the visit. This one can be visited outside of a guided tour but if one is interested in the history, then a guide is recommended.

A must see Painted Church in Praha!
We visited six painted churches on our tour. St.Mary's of the Assumption is one that must be seen. It is open to the public most days during business hours. The art, stained glass, and sanctuary are really attractive. St. Mary's was also the largest church visited. Be sure to see the grounds, as there is a nice tribute to fallen Praha veterans worth some time. We were a group of photographers, and this one the altar area is not lit during the day. Our tour guide was not allowed to do so. Irregardless, the sanctuary is a must see. Enjoy!
