St John Greek Orthodox Church hosts a great Greekfest annually and you should take time to attend
We attended the Greekfest at St Johns for the first time a few weeks ago were served wonderful Greek food, enjoyed great entertainment and were also allowed to visit inside of their Greek Orthodox church. We visited with their priest and had time to learn some of the liturgy and history of the church. It is a beautiful building that many of the local Greek people worship in and I will attend services there soon too as they, as a group, were so wonderful and inviting.

Mid-Cities Greek Festival
The church hosts the weekend-long Mid-Cities Greek Festival every fall. It's held outdoors under a huge tent, so you're protected from the elements if it rains. I've enjoyed going to sample the food and watch the children's folk dancing groups. They also serve Greek beer and wine along with American beverages like Coke. This year, I ate there and brought desserts home. I enjoyed everything I tried, except what they called "Greek salad," which was mostly iceberg lettuce with a few olives and a small drop of feta cheese. They also offer tours of the church during the festival. A took a tour a few years ago when they were in their older building, but I haven't done the tour since they've moved into the newer, larger church. I can say that it's beautiful on the outside, though.
