What a beautiful evening to remember. A Starlight cruise With Captain Amy and Jackson. She certainly knows her business, and Jackson was equally as personable and helpful as she was. The lights From The Harbor were glistening on the water as she told us a story of the “Seawolf”… The experience of having a woman Captain was quite different than The storybook tale of a Grumpy Ole Pirate. My granddaughter just loved Captain Amy, and the chance to help steer. She called her the Pretty Pirate. Everything was perfectly timed, and was it very enjoyable evening. Captain Tim treated us to a truly magnificent experience!! He was a fantastic captain with a beautiful boat and he made us feel safe and at home from the moment we stepped on board. He took us all around Lake Travis, told us stories and taught us about the boat, answered the many questions from our kids, and even let both of them steer the boat. And he took a bunch of pictures of all of us on top of that. We saw a beautiful sunset from the boat and then Captain Tim navigated us a bit further out so we could see the sun go behind the hill again. I had read reviews and was prepared. The ship does need a major overhaul and I hadn't thought about all the stairs for my friend. It was difficult to be outside with the bugs that were flying around but we found a dark place away from the lights and avoided them. The owners were very nice and took good care of us. The food was good and plenty of it. We had chicken with mashed potatoes and corn and bread pudding dessert. The parking area wasn't large but many people had taken a taxi and avoided any hassle. It was a very nice evening and I hope the new owners will keep this lovely ship afloat!See more..

We rented a daytime cabana from 10:30-6:30 for 5 adults, 1 teen, and 1 child. There was plenty of room! We rented cabana C6 because it was the first one, meaning we only had neighbors on one side. It was really private, close to the parking lot, and close to some porta potties. We also rented an iFloat, a paddleboard, and a kayak for the day. We brought our own floats too. Next time I think we might try to get one of the cabanas that are over the water. We brought a cooler full of drinks, some match light charcoal, and cooked hotdogs for lunch. Overall, it was a fun day trip!They offer tents if you want to camp on site, but we wanted to stay in a hotel with AC!! See more..
Located near town center and easy to find, we thoroughly enjoyed this boat ride down the Big Cyprus Bayou. The tour guide is a retired Federal Game Warden who has worked in Parks from the Mexican border to the Canadian border. But he grew up right around this East Texas bayou, and he looks and sounds like he just emerged from these deep piney woods. Don’t expect excitement but do expect some beautiful scenery and local lure. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience (suitable for little kids and old people with bad knees like me).See more..

This was my very first trip to Caddo Lake! It was an awesome experience and nothing that I had ever seen before. Rich uses a pontoon boat which was very comfortable, and we were able to move around to take pictures. He gave us the history on how this particular lake was formed and some of its struggles through the years. I am thankful for those who have worked to keep it so natural. Enjoyable trip on the Rio Grande River. We watched while sections of a wall was quickly being erected. We learned this was a private wall that was being completed at a fraction of the cost and in a fraction of the time compared to the federally ordered wall. Very interesting.See more..
Over the course of two separate tours, we spent 5 comfortable hours exploring Caddo Lake with Mike as our guide. It was our first visit to Caddo, and we knew very little of the history or what to expect. Mike is extremely knowledgeable and a great story-teller! He also has an amazing ability to notice wildlife and point them out...we saw owls, osprey, heron, woodpeckers, and a gator that we would have missed without his help. Because of Mike’s expertise, we fell in love with Caddo Lake and hope to be back in other seasons so He can show us more of its beauty.See more..

This was the second trip week-long we did with Matthew (and now Cassidy) as our guides. This was a relatively easy trip in canoes through the 75-mile stretch of the Rio Grande known as The Great Unknown in February. Matthew and Cassidy's experience and knowledge of the area is unsurpassed. We made a couple hikes which included an impromptu lesson on the geology of this unique landscape, a visit to the "Hermit's Cave" in Mariscal Canyon, as well as hikes up to ridges where the 360 degree views were breathtaking. Wild Adventure Outfitters is somewhat of a boutique company that strives to create a customized experience unique to each customer. It's very different than the large river runner establishments that count of drive-up tourists for business. My wife and I canoed Section 2 of Village Creek. This is the shortest of the four sections Eastex offers. My wife is not very comfortable on the water and quite afraid of a number of wild critters. We both enjoyed the trip thoroughly. The creek was calm with many sand bars on this section -- some with a little shade, which we took advantage of to enjoy the lunch we packed. Since we went during the week, we had the creek to ourselves. We heard thunder in the distance from afternoon scattered storms, but we didn't get rained on. All-in-all, a great time.See more..

He was knowledgeable about the area and had a one of a kind flat bottom boat that could take us places a pontoon would not have. Best fishing trip ever. Picked up at our dock by Dakota who was AMAZING. We caught about 80 fish and kept about 65 including 3 hybrids where were so fun to reel in. Our six year old had the time of his life. Fished a few hours, then Dakota came back to our dock and cleaned them all. This company knows what they are doing. I would LOVE to do this again.
