    This 1939 Post Office, directly across from the County Courthouse on the square, is a perfect compliment to the County Courthouse of the same era. The "Oil Fields of Graham" by Alexandre Hogue is restored and in good condition. According to Philip Parisi's "The Texas Post Office Murals", Hogue completed the mural in the study of his friend (and fellow mural artist) Jerry Bywaters. In the 1980's the U.S. Post Office sold the building to the City of Graham, which now uses it as a historical museum. Well worth a visit. See more..

    Although this is a very small art center, it is one of my favorite places in GT. Each exhibit offers something new and interesting to enjoy and experience. Not all of the art is necessarily my "cup of tea" but I feel moved and intrigued with all of the offerings. The Art Center is housed in a historic building just off the Williamson County square. Originally the city of Georgetown’s city hall, jail, waterworks, and fire station, Firehouse Number 1 was transformed in a renovation in 2013. This 16,000 square foot state-of-the-art museum, replicates the Latin-cross cruciform architecture of European medieval cathedrals, providing a sacred setting for these antique stained-glass windows salvaged from deteriorating churches around the country. The windows on display represent the most renowned manufacturers of 19th and 20th Century American and European stained-glass art. With over 170 antique windows, the collection consists of works from Tiffany Studios, John LaFarge, Lamb Studios, Mary Tillinghast, and pieces from the German Munich styles by Franz Meyer and F. X.     Well worth a hop off I-40. Amazing collection on astronaut Alan Bean, fourth man on the moon, and his painted artwork. Also a nice presentation and artifacts of the local Red River War. Located in the American Legion building. Free, but there is a donation box. Some displays are in progress (3/2019), so it's just getting better. Staff was friendly and helpful (and the only person around when I visited on a Saturday). Just head north from the U-Drop-In in Shamrock and continue through Wheeler until you see the big astronaut statue. See more..

    Spent a Wednesday afternoon at the museum....what a hidden treasure. Everything you want to know about Enloe, Tx or Delta County can be found here...u can actually spend hours and hours looking at all the things from the past...an actual walk back in time. The Duncan family will take their time out of their busy day to answer any questions you may have or to show you where to find it. They are so informative about Delta County and it's history it will amaze you... what a wonderful afternoon spent with a wonderful family. There is no charge to tour the museum although donations are accepted. See more..
