Great place to visit with the kids
The museum was close to Fort Concho and just minutes away from our hotel the Econo Lodge. I like how close everything is around the downtown area so it was easy to visit most of the sights in a day. The Museum was a nice one to see pottery work and local artists displays.

short visit to SA....
I spent a few days visiting an old friend in San Angelo. It was hot! Anyway, the Museum of Fine Arts was my favorite of all the places I saw in San Angelo. I'm always up for an art museum but this one is really special. In fact I would call it superb!

A Nice Surprise in San Angelo
My daughter is an art major at ASU so she took us here during our recent visit. The contemporary art museum is on the small side but is really nice. There are only 3 or 4 rooms and each one had a different theme. There is a nice variety of mediums and styles so if you like art there is sure to be something that will strike your fancy. Admission is paid in the gift shop on the second floor and is just a few dollars, ASU students are free. On a nice day, the outdoor patio area has a nice view of part of The Bosque and Concho River.
