We battled the rain and mud in the campground but had a great time. We rented an RV for the first time and it was great. We parked it in the campgrounds at the track and learned the art of living in an RV. We dodged the rain watching the races for the weekend and really enjoyed the Rv experience. The campground staff was very helpful getting us to a lot and helping with transportation to the track from there and back. They have one driver, Marty, who is fantastic. He was extremely helpful getting us to and from the campground and the grandstands. Our seats were just in the right position to see the starting line and the finish line. The RV experience was something we will surely do again in the future.See more..

We went to the Cotton Bowl Speedway in Feb 2014. We had a great time, weather was 79 degrees. The have recently built this track and have invested alot of time and money to make this a fun family atmosphere. They had a race simulator to entertain the fans and everyone had a great time. "Hailed as the Southwest's most famous dirt track, Devil's Bowl Speedway is the premier venue for racing entertainment. A high banked half-mile with tacky black clay, the track is a unique D shape with the curve on the back straight fifteen feet higher than the front. This purposely designed aspect gives the 10,000 seats in the grandstands an unobstructed view of the entire track. Among those seats are 1,000 reserved seats located on the finish line, another 1,500 upper deck reserved seats available for special events and six air conditioned suites located on the third floor of the tower that can be rented which hold up to 10 people."See more..

Some of the classes are really competitive while others still need a better car count. A good crowd was on hand for opening night for the season even though it was cool.
