We were in town for an art show opening at the Art Guild where artist Joel Armstrong was showing his work. I had read there were some unusual art-related gifts in this little store across the street from the historic courthouse. We were not disappointed. It was such and honor to meet this professional. Everyone in the City of Salado spoke nothing but love for him. He took so much time for us to learn the craft. We had an absolute blast and he kept us very entertained at the same time. He’s also nationally know in magazines,PBS and Day trippers, but he’s true to his craft. He pays not attention to media publicity, a true craftsman. We were able to build 2 cups and 2 bowls, 100 percent by us, and he was there the entire time only if we needed help.
