A getaway with Mom
We saw this beautiful church as part of a Painted Churches Tour from Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce. This is an active church so if you are visiting check with either the church or Schulenburg Chamber of Commerce in visiting times for the day ( Mass, weddings and funeral services are not touring times ) . The church is gorgeous and so well loved. You will be glad you saw this gem.

Feel the presence of the Lord!
We visited six painted churches on our tour. St. Mary's Church High Hill would receive the vote for the best one to visit. The sanctuary of this church is simply stunning, has to be seen. Our guide stated it was voted the 7th most beautiful church in the USA. If you visit this church, plan on absorbing the beauty of the stained glass, the art, and appreciate the artisans who made this possible.

Beautiful!
Walking into St. Mary's takes you to another era. The stained glass along with every other detail was amazing. The history of these churches gives you such respect for the travels the European settlers made and the dedication to make sure they had places to worship.
