Cameron Park, Texas, United States
4.5 (318 reviews) Spent Ranking #2 in Waco Parks
I'd be here every week if I lived in Waco
I visited during Spring Break. The park is beautiful. It has playgrounds, hiking trails and places to sit and relax. The first place I saw was Lover's Lesp, which has a great view of the Brazos. This was my favorite spot. I took the Jacob's Ladder challenge, climbing both up & down the steps. Unfortunately, I did not stretch first and I pulled a muscle. The steps are uneven-a steep step could be right after a shallow step. Next time I visit, I'll bring a chair AND I'll stick to the trails for walking.

Great Area and Great Views
We love visiting Waco, and always make time to go through Cameron Park. Great for walk, a trip to the Cameron Park Zoo, or just admiring the sculptures along the way. Great way to relax after a long day.

Change of pace with some gorgeous views
If you have limited time in Waco and you’re here to gorge on all things “Chip & Jo”— I’m not sure I’d suggest making a specific trip to Cameron Park. But— if you’ve done all thing Magnolia and are running out of Waco destinations, visiting the park is pretty cool. You’ll find a beautiful view from Lover’s Leap, a zoo, a bamboo forest... A great escape on a beautiful day.
