The Great Outdoors, just down Parker Rd.
Plano has done a great job providing neighborhood parks with playgrounds and athletic fields, but they surpassed expectations by purchasing acreage on the far ends of town for great nature preserves. Oak Point Park on the East and Arbor Hills on the west. I especially love taking some good study and walking time at Arbor Hills. There is an excellent paved sidewalk that encircles most of the park with plenty of signage and a ton of footpaths thru the forest for the adventurous. I have seen bobcat, hawk and raccoon, plus tons of birds and squirrels. I can't wait for my next visit.

Serene surroundings
We live very close to this Nature Preserve and love all it has to offer. People drive here from a distance because often there are no spots to park on a nice day. Parking is plentiful, don't get me wrong. People take pictures here for yearbooks and prom etc. Personally, I don't think its all that wonderful for those pictures. It would be nicer if the open areas were seeded with bluebonnets or other wildflowers for spring. But I also get that the objective is to keep it natural.
